You can bring a guest but I don't believe they are allowed in the cars.
However, unless you have a really strong stomach you don't want to be in the car as a passenger. The motions are so violent you tend to get motion sickness. A couple guys in my course tried to get a bit of extra seat time as passengers and quickly gave up due to motion sickness.

As a passenger, if you look where you would when driving, motion sickness shouldn’t be a problem. It helps to know where to look if you have done track days before. In our track day club, about 1/3 of drivers have ride-alongs at any point in time with few issues of motion sickness.

I’m more of an autocross guy. I was sick after the Nurburgring too…
Maybe just more track days needed to aclimatise? You could use that as an excuse against any S.O. pushback.

If you get motion sickness at Area 27, you probably would at Rocky Mountain Motorsports near Calgary, too, as it has quite a bit of elevation change and some blind crests. Castrol (now called Rad Torque Raceway) is flat as a pancake, though, except for the banking on turn 3.

Never heard of the one in Calgary. I drove to Edmonton from Regina to attend the event there. It was awesome. Love that track.
They renamed Castrol when Rad Torque Systems signed a 5-year sponsorship deal.

The Calgary track (sort of, it is near Carstairs, north of Airdrie) is a new one that has been open for 2 years, designed by Hermann Tilke. It is quite good with lots of technical challenge. They are making a few adjustments, though, as a few cars have gone off at about 160km/h in turn 1 and cleared the gravel trap and tyre barrier and totalled cars in the concrete barrier behind.

Very interesting motion sickness is a big issue for some of you guys.

I can't handle being on a boat. After 5 minutes I'm ready to hurl.

I can do lap after lap without feeling a thing though. They have those bracelets that put a little pressure on your wrist that are supposed to help with motion sickness. Might be worth a try.

Garage List
I'm considering Hockenheimring, Nürburgring GP or eventually Sachsenring, waiting for 2024 bookings to open.
It would be nice to go together

US$1750 which in my Canadian card became CAD 2365.

The M Driver’s package is CAD 2500. So essentially you’re paying for the program and CAD 135 for the higher speed limit.

It’s not as bad a deal as we used to think. Worth it to me.

Hey, we all bust each other's chops for what people do/spend for items for their car and in reality all that matters is if its worth it to the user. I am sure people think I spent too much on my rims and am nuts for the stage 2 tune and related mods/upgrades on a car with less than 2,000 miles but its what I wanted and I am very happy with the outcome (and still a few goodies in the works).

Good point.
Personally, my “mods” are strictly cosmetic i.e. no performance additions and I’m just as pleased as you with the car. YMMV
