It sounds AMAZING!!!!

Not trying to toot my own horn but have hit a few M2 meetups and have been told by many that my car is the best sounding M2. Not sure if its cause of how I'm ripping through gears on a JB4 MAP2 tune (93+ oct) but it really sounds aggressive.

I've considered doing catless downpipes but with the car as is it is already deep and loud enough.

The stainless steal, res delete, and race Remus setup gives a deep, throaty sound which is exactly what I was looking for.

BTW Remus also does not recommend to do downpipes with the race setup as you can blow your ear drums out. Even with my setup, there is a resonance point where the depth can really hit you while cruising.
Do you have any sound clips? I have a Millteck single mid and would like to pair with a nice axle back.

Fellow Californian here with a G87 on order. I love the sound of the single midpipes but I'm worried about deleting the secondary cats and passing smog.

For those of you who went this route, what are your plans when it comes to smog time? I know we get 6 years but if you sell the car before then you'll have to smog it.

I was going to say who keeps a car more then 6 years and I look at my garage. Oh wait I did still have the OG M2, New from 2016 just hit 40k miles,
Always keep your stock parts, which I did when I did downpipes on it. I had to put it back to stock and return back to stock tune, too pass smog /// Which in this case for this car will be doing the same keeping stock parts for the future.

Yeah debating if I go for single midpipe and accept that I’ll have to do the switcheroo in a few years or if I go with the Dinan X pipe to retain secondary cats and avoid the hassle.

The problem is if I don’t keep it for 6 years I would have to smog it when I sell, so either way the cats need to go back on in 6 years or less.

Yes and I love it.

AWE switchpath cat back exhaust, AWE non-resonated mid pipe, Active Autowerkes catted downpipe and MAD intake.

Adding the MAD secondary resonator/cat delete next week.

It’s loud when valves fully open and on M2 mode. With valves fully open and in comfort, difference is the burbles and a bit softer.

Valves closed much quieter and great way to come in and out of neighborhood or when you don’t want it to be too loud.
