Is this the same size as the Autoid Tre cs one or smaller? They look similar, but this one looks slightly smaller which I like. Hard to tell.

Yea I’m sure they all use the same manufacturer. I’ve seen a few different brands that all look the same.

Did you get the RW one because it was cheaper to ship? Just curious.

Yes it was by far less expensive to ship.

Yea that makes sense since they seem like the same product. Any fitment issues? Does it sit at the very edge of the lip flush?

It sits right over the lip where the trunk curves. Hopefully these pics show it well enough. Fitment and install is excellent. Easy to install. The only PITA is removing the factory adhesive.

Great thanks. This looks great. I see RW doesn’t have 3M tape already applied like the TRE, was that simple enough to line up correctly?

Yeah super easy and plenty is supplied. You can see by this pic where to install it just in from the edge. I'll see if I can find the video but basically be sure to clean each surface with IPA and apply the adhesive promoter. Don't worry as according to 3M data sheet you have up to one hour to apply the 3M tape to the adhesive promoter. The data sheet also says it takes 48 hours at 70 degrees to achieve 90+% adhesion so I left my car in the heated garage for two days as I put it on in the winter.

There is a little trick they use where you just remove the cover from the tape on the ends and stick the ends down first, then pull the tape out from under the spoiler the rest of the way applying plenty of pressure after for 30 seconds.

Excellent. Did you need to apply promoter to the spoiler as well before applying the tape there or just promoter on the car itself? Is this the same size as the TRE? They look identical, but not sure if one is bigger than the other.

Yes apply to both. I just cleaned both surfaces before then wiped the surfaces of each with the promoter one right after the other. I think where people sometimes panic is the promoter can dry out on the applicator quite quickly, but once it's applied you have plenty of time.

I used a bondo squeege (kind of a rubberized plastic thing) and a hair dryer. But my kid used 20 lb test nylon fishing line to remove some things on his car along with the hair dryer.

I just took it slow and had him lift up lightly on the OEM spoiler as we went along and it came right off without maring the clear.

Thanks man, just ordered. I love how it adds a subtle aggression to the rear without being too big. The M3/4 have a similar looking spoiler that is OEM comes with the car, not sure if you’ve seen that. I think it’s like 1/2” smaller, but it’s close. I don’t understand why the M2 has the same lip as a 230i…shakes head.
