My car goes in for first service next week. My 07/2023 update failed and could not be applied a while back. I'm sure the dealer will try to update it. Hopefully I don't lose my remote start or something, although I don't usually use it outside of winter, so maybe a 07/2024 update will fix whatever this update breaks, if anything?

I got an m240i g42 and after the update the vehicle feels detuned. Like driving a camry now. I'm so pissed about it.
Hard to prove without data before and after but definitely can feel it |

When I had a G42 one update made the exhaust sound better and suspension was stiffer so that really sucks if it went backwards.

I’m not sure what the update did to the G87 I don’t think I notice a difference.

Maybe a placebo ? I asked about this on another forum everyone who has done this update say nothing different ...not done mine as yet, its sat there nagging me after every drive lol....ive got a feeling its nothing engine related as exactly the same numbered update is on all electric BMW as well just my thoughts. I had a check and found the same Software Update 03/2024.40 on x5 and i4.
