I have those awful black and Red seats in my STi econobox. They suit that car well especially with the red stitching theme. For the G87, I went with the M highlight seats. All black would be kind of boring. M highlights, with the M colors inside and red or blue calipers seem appropriate for an M car, further differentiates it. I think it goes well with most of the colors, save maybe Java Green

Haha like I said, everyone has different taste. I’m speaking from first hand experience by the way, have owned many STI’s over the years (5) and my dedicated track car that I still own is a GD, but that interior in the VA’s just is not it and gives me the same vibe as the new M2 red highlight interior option.

My GD and my Kanrai edition STI. Two awesome econoboxes, one with a sad red highlight interior .

Funny to hear the comparisons from the STi owners. I’d almost forgotten about the red/blk STi theme. My STi’s were prior to those cars. I can see how that could be a no-go for some.

Nice Subbies! I had an 07 for 4 years and an 11 for 10 years. Gotta say the VA interior is an improvement over previous but still not great lol and agreed I wouldn’t want any Subaru interior in my M2.

That alcantara option isn't currently available for 2024's, it's a new option. Unless it's just not available in the USA? Not showing up on the builder as of yet.

Read this article. It says the Alcantara steering wheel is an option and doesn't say anything about restrictions as to US or other countries.

He doesn't mean the steering wheel. That will probably be available. What will not (most likely) is the Sensatec + Alcantara seats. The US never got a Sensatec option on M2. This option was also a thing on old M135is and never made it to the US market.

The black and red seats immediately reminded me of my last sti. The bmw seats have bolsters on the bottoms of them though when compared to the sti recaros. My dream would be cognac carbon buckets and isle of man green but that is not going to happen unless they really unleash the individual program.

Leather highlights aren't my taste, just the like original "M Color" highlight seats weren't either. If it was a full red interior, I'd consider it. Otherwise full black leather interior is still going to age way better than red stripes.

I don't know - it looks pretty sharp. That red stitching on the doors...

Worth noting both of these images are 3D renders, not photos. The press photos don't look as nice as the renders IMO.

The press photos also look spectacular. Bright red stitching. Really looks good.

I am thinking Black with the blue contrast stitching would look better with the Twilight Purple than the red. I would love the M-color highlight seats, but they have GRAY stitching and that throws it all off for me.

Why do these get shrunk. I've got like 6K-8K huge detailed pics. Old forum software.
