Coming home from the airport last week and I'm driving the old sh!tbox that I leave at the airport, but that's not relevant. Come up on a new Honda Accord that is wandering left and right in the lane but never crossing, speed inconsistent. The inconsistent speed allowed me to catch up with the car, which was camped in the left lane. And what did I discover, hands 100% off the wheel texting and flipping me off for passing on the right, oh and watching a video on another phone propped on the steering wheel column. The more driving assistance that shows up in cars just means more people disconnect even further from the driving experience. I certainly understand the safety aspect but now when used like this.

True. I go on a long drive (200-300 miles) twice a month for work and it's usually after I already worked for 9 hours that day. That's partially the reason I have my tesla cause I usually just use full self driving for that drive. I'm still keeping the tesla even when I get the M2, but I just know as soon as I get the car I probably won't drive the tesla for at least a month. |
