Thank you!

not sure about mads but with the Ali plate needed the rubber piece to be removed. the plate would sit way to low if left on.

if you look at all the plates on the market beside zunsport they are basically the same design with different ventilation and cut outs.

Does your skid plate incorporate the OEM rubber lip (or air damn)?

The mishimoto skip plate still uses the runber piece. In the install you have to take the rubber piece off the OEM skip plare and then put it on the mishimoto on. Same with the Meyer fabrication skid plate (https://meyer-fabrication.com/produc...l-cooler-guard) as well. In their design you just install it over the OEM skid plate and they have a cut out for the air damn. I am just ignorant about the importance of the air damn (rubber piece) so not sure if it is needed or not.

The rubber lip also looks like it would be a little deflector for some potential debris so I wonder apples to apples which is the best design since we are all concerned with protection here

I guess that depends on where you are standing and where you define negative from 😀

Its also the material the plate is made of, which could be quite a factor.
