They are well known to have the same or better cold-bite than the stock pads. Not so with the is1500s. Performance trumps dust, for me, every time. Countless is1500<>is2000 comparisons in the G80/G82 forums.

I didn’t want to remove any factory performance and the is2000s don’t, at least not on the street.
They do dust, but it’s still way better than stock. I couldn’t believe the stock dust on my wheels after the 10mi drive it took me to get the car home from the dealer, driving like a grandma!

These are on my list. The OEM brake dust is insane and makes me have to wash my car more often just because the wheels have turned from black to dirty bronze.

Installed the 2000s over the weekend. So far dead quiet and although the brake feel is different (i.e. more linear in sport setting) the stopping performance seems at least on par with OEM. Too soon to report on dust but hopefully will be an improvement. My main concern was noise not dust. Definitely recommend!

I had the 1500’s installed at 1000 miles and im at 7000 now. Almost no dust and they feel the same as OEM to me at least for normal driving. I always go for less dust not performance because for normal driving they work fine. You can’t track them but i won’t ever be on a track and I think you need track pads for that anyhow so go for the less dust is my vote. They stop perfectly compared to OEM so I see no reason for the 2000’s.

My bigger concern is how long they will last. Ive had powerstops go 60k and have half pad left, not sure we’ll see any mileage like that but I have no idea. Don’t even know exactly what compound they are it’s not clear. I also have them on my rs3 as that’s may daily and my son drives the m2. On the rs3 they work perfectly also just like OEM no difference but the dust savings in tremendous.

They were expensive though , I wish powerstop made pads for these models as they were 1/5 the price easily. I also had them on my hellcat and x3m40, they were less dust even than the isweeps.

Would love to hear how many miles you all have on them… anyone get to high mileage yet on either 1500 or 2000’s?

They are Richland Forged wheels. The floating hub caps are OEM. The only difference is I replaced the blue/white badge with the 50th anniversary badge. They stick out a little more than the non-floaters, but they have to so they can turn/move to stay level.

Ah gotcha. I have them as well and they do stick out a little more than the static ones. But yours kind of look like they are poking much further out. Perhaps it’s the angle of the pic. Nice wheels none the less!

Nice! and thanks for responding. These pads have been great, I know a lot of people much prefer the 2000's and I cannot comment on those, but I have the 1500's on the M2 and on my RS3 and both are great. for me and my driving, there is no reason to get a pad that dusts more lol... I do not track or anything of the sort and the 1500's have been perfect for every day driving, even the spirited runs here and there.

It's still amazes me that all these high performance cars come with the dustiest pads ever created, these should come OEM with these cars somehow and save the hassle of install etc. lol...

iSweep pads are not ECE certified for use in the EU and are unlikely to pass the required pad tests to the ECE standards. Semi-metallic pads that are the typical choice by European manufacturers are biased towards performance (not just ultimate braking, but ambient temperature range, initial bite, wet performance, etc), more than low dust, compared with ceramic pads.

The iSweep 1500s have lower friction ratings compared with the stock M2 SAE GG rated pads, based on the iSweep published data.

yea I hear you and knew the answer to this question lol... I guess for my always warm conditions and driving style, the benefit far outweighs the risk or downside of having these isweep or similar non dusting pads. to me, it's a great trade off as I cannot live with the dust.

But I could go a week without my wheels turning another color. I think it was mentioned that those who track or auto X should get the 3500's.

I will be getting the 2500's again for my M2 which I do no track. The brake dust reduction was massive enough for me with 2500's.
That’s great!!!
So the Isweep 2500 are as capable as factory pads?

I put the 2000's on my G87 after living with the stock pads for 3 years on my G80. The difference in dust is night and day plus no noise. However, I do not feel they have the same bite as the factory pads, wether real or perceived, I'm ok with the trade-off. I sounded like a freight train coming to red lights in the G80.

After doing some research I bought a set of the 2500s. But I am unsure I made the right decision. I find the stock brakes to be very grabby. I wonder if I should have gone with the 1500s, and that way I would have reduced the grab and also had even less dust.
