I think it's pulling in engine air because it could be 70F outside and the IAT is reading 110-120F while cruising.
You know what ? I wasn't 100% positive where the intake ducting ended up. And I kind of assumed it was always exposed to the lower open part of the grill, but it's not.

You are correct. It leads right in between the active shutters and the radiator. So if the shutters are closed .......

I mean it's still massively better than the intake sucking in air right next to the turbo.

It's terrible. Makes no sense.
It would be nice if the grille would open if the pedal was 70% or more.
Or have a setting that it's always open if the IAT is higher than say 120-130F.

Called Kies about their MST intake, they werent really able to 100% confirm this MST will fit in 2024.

Can anyone here confirm this will fit 2024 G42? He said the newer inlet size is 3.5inch vs 2020 was 4".

They suggested I get the open box version.
