Just like every other product that an "actor" promotes, it's not worth the money because they spent the dollars on the paycheck for said actor. In addition, BMW now has to recoup all their poorly spent dollars on EVs by turning the interiors of all their other cars into a box with a tablet in the middle. Come on BMW. I am on my sixth BMW and it may be my last. Focus on the ultimate driving machine again!

Why depreciation?

I can tell you, lease deals will suck.
The i4 M50 had horrible lease deals initially.
It was more cost effective to order my i4 and buy it. The lease deals had me with more money in the car after 3 years than just buying it.

They offered 1.9% to buy and leasing was horrible.

Anyway, I don't regret buying my i4.

The demand for that type of car/performance isn’t there because there are ICE equivalent available, not that the car is bad in anyway.

The C 63 S E Perfomance isn’t a bad car on paper, it’s actually a pretty damn good AMG car, but the problem is the M3/M4 exist and RS 5 if you could find one.

Once a segment goes one way (EV/hybrid), buyers aren’t going to suddenly stop buying those cars, they’ll accept the reality and these newer cars will eventually become the norm.

Lease deals are amazing on the BMW EV’s. Could be just my location and on the higher priced models like the iX.

I bet if we searched this Forum,...we could find posts similarly stated about the G80/G82 M3/M4 when it was announced! "Nobody will buy the new M3/M4 because of the LARGE GRILL! Yet, BMW has sold every last one of them...

I will go on record and say this,...the full BEV M3/M4 will sell like there's no tomorrow! It won't be many ICE heads buying it,...it will be those already in a BEV,...or PHEV owners. For instance,...the 50e PHEV has first gen X5M giddy-up 'n go! And I highly suspect it's faster than all X5s up to 50i G05! Now just think what it could do with 375/383Hp X5 M40i ICE.

The BEV M3/M4 is not going to disappoint,...in fact, I'm betting every single ICE that goes up against it Will Have to Catch It,...if it can!
