Thanks for your reply, your experience with Cup2R is on G8X BMW or Porsche?

It was with E92, the G87 will arrive in April.

From my house to the track there are 1000 miles, I wear them and come back with them, I have even done it twice with the same tire.

Good, always heard good experience with Cup2R mostly from Porsche owners and BMW/Supra owners were never happy with them. Will give it a try and will see how they are for me. You were driving on them 1000 miles, drive on NS, drive back 1000 miles and all this twice on Cup2R? wow... that is a lot for one set of very soft tire.

On F87 I was driving on Direzzas D03G or Hankook Z221 and always was very happy. CR-S were not bad, but let's call it lower league of tire, same with Trofeo R and A052, which had best grip of this group, but not that good as D03G or Z221. And regular Cup2 i just better street tire from my point of view.

With 265/295 on F87 I was able to fit them all to the rear seats, so I was driving on them only on the track. With 285/305 only chance is to fit 3 on rear seats and one to the trunk, which doesnt give much space for other luggage for whole weekend.

R888r were crap on F87, guess they perform great only on lighter cars, because on 1250 kg E46 M3 they were great.

Let's see. I got confused about the R. I was talking about the cup2 without R.
I'm looking forward to trying the Yokohama AD09, people speak very highly of them.

If you want to know a little more about tires, this video explains quite well how far each one goes. The only thing you should use is the translator.

Seen many of similar videos in past 14 years since I’m tracking my cars and tried many semi tires since 2010.

Real experience on same car (or at least same concept and similar weight) is something else than guys comparing tires on variety of cars. My experience with tires mentioned in that video (all personal experience on BMWs):

1) NS2R - grip lower than many UHP tires and useless on water, no point to spend money on this
2) Zestino - most of their chineese products are crap, but very cheap
3) 595 - tried RS-R, they were total crap (worse than many UHP tires) and cracking/delamination of thread, RS-RR had comparable grip to Cup2 but extremely noisy
4) R888r/R888 - good on lighter cars, not so good on more heavy cars, also very noisy
5) Cup2 - street tire with a bit more grip and much less life, drivable in rain, best choice for combination of daily driving and time by time visit at a track, very low noise, very long life for semis (but I call them better street tire)
6) Potenza Race - no personal experience, even dont know anyone who tried them personaly
7) AD09 - not personal experiemce, but not bad as far as I heard, cant compare
8) A052 - best of afordable semis (which I tried), "best" I mean fastest lap times, great grip even in lower temp, usable in moderate rain, very quick wear, low noise, just few turns to heat them up, not very good in high outside temps
9) AR1 - never understood why are they so popular, no one ever did a decent lap time on them, good training tire, low wear similar to CR-S, useless in rain
10) CR-S - quite good, similar grip to Trofeo R, similar price, much longer life, usable in light rain, I prefer them before AR1
11) Trofeo R - better with lower side wall (which is very soft), quite fast wear (not so fast as A052), grip similar to CR-S, usable in light rain, very low noise
12) Cup2R - dont know many who drives or tried them on anything other than GTsomething Porsche (where they are another league than any other street legal semi in EU), some with BMW/Supra says it’a great, some says it’s not working on this concept. Some say they are useless after few laps, some say their performance just drop but still better than Trofeo R or similar
13) Trofeo RS - no real world experience by anyone who I know (very new tire)

Bonus:
14) Z221 (medium) - extreme high grip in first heat cycle, very long life, very hard side wall, some say it’s homologated slick, but it has E so street legal, but only up to 18”, light drop after first heat cycle to D03G level (I personaly liked Z221 more than D03G), noisy
15) D03G (medium) - similar to Z221, bit softer side wall than Z221 (not that crazy hard), same story about homo as Z221, also up to 18”, very consistent from new to done, noisy
16) FZ-201 (medium) - Federal as 595 mentioned above, good grip for that money, also delamination as 595 but much later, also only up to 18”, noisy

Also tried Nitto NT-01 and Falken RT615, that is very long time ago. Many friends who can fit them are happy with GoodYear SS RS, for low price performance just a bit under Cup2R on Porsche. Very fast tire is also Hoosier R7, but not homo for EU (can see why)

So my question was specialy on Cup2R because there is no general opinion and I have no personal experience, because couldnt fit any of available dimmensions on F87.

Can you divulge the weights?
