Not to get too far off topic...but the manual in the 718 Cayman S is very very good. The M2 manual felt a bit blunted and rubbery by comparison. Still a good drive but that feeling combined with reviews noting that the auto is better suited to the S58 and a new shoulder injury convinced me to go auto. However, I would argue the manual is still a great car and offers a different more connected experience than the auto.

I sold my RS3, which was incredible in the snow for the M2.I have a E46 M3 which will never see snow and I have a Audi S4 which is in a garage about an hour away since I dont have the room for it at home. I could swap them out but I love the G87 so much and with winter tires on it suffices enough.

I think the BMW shifter is... fine. A little rubbery, but never vague or imprecise. Very much IMO, of course, but while not perfect, it also doesn't hamper the experience. |

Seem to be nothing but rumors and renders from what I can tell. I think the bigger news is Honda is looking to merge with Nissan. If that happens, I'd love to see what sports car the HRC and NISMO guys come up with working together, so long as it's ICE.

Agreed, fuck EVs. Will not buy one until I absolutely have to. The only one that doesn’t make me completely nauseous is the Porsche Taycan |

We’ve been stuck in the 1-20 degrees range for the last few days but a heat wave is coming and she’s going for a long drive when it hits a balmy 32 degrees on Friday

And because I love to paint a target on my own back, I never understand the “engagement” argument either. I love flicking through the gears via the paddles! Up, down, double taps into a corner like an F1 car, heaps of fun and engaging. |

Drove my M2, still with summer tires, to wok today at -1F and with random snow patches on the roads. Was a bit nerve wracking...
