When I ordered my MY23 G87, I was in the dealership office looking at his computer and they were calling it dive planes (I told him air inlets and he said nothing on his computer by that name). It is truly stupid when prior models have parts identified as dive planes and they are, as you stated, hideous external wolverine trim crap.

I hate it when manufacturers flip flop on names. In the documentation you posted it's air inlets but on my window sticker it's dive planes. Just keep it consistent bmw...

I do love this option though. It makes the front end look alot better in my biased opinion. Pics on my other post.

That's such an oversight on BMWs part but seems to happen more often than not. They also have tons of misprints and incorrect information on all of their websites, it's just embarrassing.

Dear BMW, here's a little primer...

'Dive planes' aka 'canards'

I am week 19 TP. My dealer had no allocations for almost 6 months. Finally canceled my order and went to a broker in Dec.

You guys are killing me talking about wait times.

I have an i4 M50 that was pre-ordered with a delivery promised for Spring 22. I finally receivedy car March 10, 2023.

Yes a 19 month wait and 12 months late.
So 6 months is a piece of cake.

I can tell all that are waiting there is light at the end of the tunnel. I got my allocation end of November, produced January 27, and has been on a boat for 5 days already headed to NJ. I know got extremely lucky with the timing of the boat. Anyone else on the RCC Antwerp?

Mine was produced the week before yours, but still showing "RFT status 165". Genius rep said still waiting at factory for train.

Does anyone know how long is normal for an individual color to stay at 102 status? I got my production # for my voodoo blue build about a month ago and still sitting at 102. Realize that individual colors can greatly extend timeline but figured the status would have at least done something in a month?

Just got off the phone with Genius…still week 21. At first he misspoke and said week 5 and I got excited. Then he corrected himself and said week 21 which is May.

He did say “awesome color” lol. He also said that individual colors are done in batches which is something we already knew.

Bro, I have had a production number since November and am still at 102. Take your shoes off and relax. Make yourself at home cause you aren’t going anywhere for awhile.

Thanks that's both good and bad to hear. On one hand, seems like nothing is wrong with my order or waiting on something to be approved, etc. On the other hand... waiting sucks...

Facts! I have already purchased all the aftermarket parts I need except the iSweep brake pads. Only so much YouTube videos one can watch. I try annoying my wife but she gets angry rather quickly so I had to stop that.

Hopefully 2.5 months to go for production and then maybe 2 more months for delivery??

I have a list of parts but am trying to be careful. Part of me worried my build will get pushed to 26 (July 2025) and VB will be not available in 26 and I will he back to square 1. Or tarrifs...
