Nice buy.

I ran across an 09' with all options and an after market Nav with 6000 miles. He has a Magnaflow exhaust and this installed.... Dyno 412 rwhp and 434 trq.
Asking 30K.

Yeah, but I bet the trans blows at 50K miles. That thing wasn't built to handle that much power and they say they didn't do any mods to the trans to be able to handle that power.

EDIT: Actually, depending on what trans it is using, it could last a bit longer. If it is using the 6L50, it's boned. Max torque is 600 lb. If it is using the 6L80, it is just above its max torque of 664 lb. But, I wouldn't be comfortable using a trans that is at its power limits.

I think it is the 6L80-E. And yes, there could be a lane delay with that car.

About $7000 more. Well worth it IMO, but from what I hear, a GT with CAI, exhaust, and tune will fall only 10-15hp short of GXP power.

Great looking cars. If I were in the market for a car that size, it would be the G8 GXP hands down. Personally I think it's a better looking car than the current 5 Series, and even though it doesn't drive quite as nice, the extra cash left in the pocket more than makes up for it.

I think the styling will age very well. It's muscular, but subtle.

And to everyone that's concerned about the fact that Pontiac is gone, it's very likely that GM will continue to sell this car here, just rebadged as a Chevy. It's already being sold under the Chevy brand in the mid-East markets, so the grill already exists, and looks damn good too.

Beautiful car! Drove one earlier this year at GM test drive exhibit at the Alabama International Auto Show in Birmingham. Took it out on the expressway and that car really has some balls! Was very impressed with the steering feel as well, didn't feel like a BMW but felt great nonetheless! I didn't care too much about seeing Olds go in 2004, but I will be very sad to see Pontiac go.

I agree the G8 should be the Impala. This car will be more useful to the Cops(Rwd plaform). No wonder why Gm is in trouble they have good cars on other continents but they offer crapboxes in America.

They sell this car here...and the previous generation of it, both as Pontiacs. They're the most powerful RWD cars you can buy for they money.

He'll just have to worry about GM going under and bringing the suppliers that makes those parts down with them.
Not to mention it's beyond easy to find great, honest mechanics that can work on GM's.
