If people are saying the first Transformers film was better than the second, that doesn't say much for this movie.

I appreciated it
however I will nerd rage at the fact that Optimus never said "That's just Prime"

in 2 1/2 hours of movie, they couldn't have scripted it in there?

I liked it however

Did you watch the cartoon as a kid? If you did, then the fact that devastator was half destroyed by a thuged out autobot prius the size of a shopping cart, or that he couldn't even stand was enough to irritate you. Also, the only thing he fought was a pyramid... what a joke. Soundwave only had 3 lines in the movie and they decided not to use the original voice, and the fact that a floating satellite had a head on it was strange to say the least. The fallen looked like a cross between an alien from "aliens" and one of the trees from LOTR, which jetfire also seemed to stem from, lol. Also, what was the deal with the female terminator transformer?!?... I don't know, the first was definitely better.

QFT.

I did not enjoy this one at all. Starscreams voice was horrible. Should've used his original voice. Also all the Decepticons looked the same. Half the time I couldn't even tell whos Megatron towards the end.

I never did watch the cartoon as a kid but I know what you mean though. If I would've seen or known more of the cartoon transformers and seen how they changed it, then I'd probably side with you. And that female terminator was kinda weird .

Overall I thought the movie was great and kept me entertained the whole way through. And for sure this movie is going to score big in the box office because I haven't seen a movie in a while that sells out at just about all of my local theaters.

The movie tried to appeal to a lot of groups and thats where it becomes one big blur. Tying to please everyone. They obviously needed more transformers BUT they couldnt do a history/story on all of them. As far as I could tell:

-Soundwave was introduced in this movie but will not see real action until the third and final TF movie...

-The Terminator looking girl was actually a concept taken from the "Pretenders" transformers line. The Transformers had a robotic "shell" that looks human to augment their power and to trick their opponents..

-The guy that did Starscreams voice, Chris Latta, is long dead. The closest thing we have now is the guy that does sponge bob's voice and he voiced Starscream in the recent Transformers Animated series....

-The female Transformer is named Arcee. There were actually 2 of them. The second was named Chromia. They are also fromt he old cartoon series..

-The Fallen, as he is in this movie, is also a "Prime" who betrayed the original Primes and wanted to destroy the earth. In the comic series he is actually one of the first 13 Transformers who went rogue and was banished... something like that...

-Whats cool is. The guy that did the Original Megatron's voice also did the voice of Soundwave/Devastator's (grunts n growls) in this movie...

-Frank Welker is the original voice of Soundwave... they just didnt heavily synthesize his voice in this movie.... fanboys demanded Frank and they gave in Frank originally auditioned for the voice of Megatron but Michael Bay said his voice was too "soft" for his Megatron but Frank voiced Megatron in that DVD extra..

lol.. I know what you mean. It was there but just wasnt the same. I was a little let down as well, though I was happy that he came back as the voice and not hiring some idiot with an english accent to voice him!!!

Did the 12.01 showing tuesday night; I loved it but maybe my desire to want to love it swayed me. None stop romp; start was worrying me, really corny, but then it picked up.

didnt really like it, cgi and special effects were great, megan fox was hot, but the movie kinda sucked, 1st one was better, and for once i agree with most of the critics who are bashing the film
