saw this twice, both in 3D and i want to see it in 2D to see how much of a difference it makes. I still wanna see it in imax though.
Movie of the year hands down.

i couldn't get ticket for imax 3d, sold out for the entire day. ended up with digital 3d but it was great as well. no complain.

So many people will do exactly what you did. They will read the reviews and the comments that people have made and go see it. That is why I keep saying it is not just a movie but an experience. With your ticket to the movie you get a free trip to Pandora.

Saw it last night in 3d, was pretty skeptical but all I can say is WOW! Amazing! It truly is an experience. I want my own dragon now...

The attention to detail was phenominal. With them walking through the forest at night, it blew away the best CG graphics and lighting I've ever seen.

That's the thing - you don't need to decide between the two. See it in IMAX & 3D! It's stunning.

honestly apart from a slightly bigger screen in imax, i can't tell the damn different. digital 3d is fine as long as you don't sit at the last row.

Yep, one of my favorite movies now.

Saw it in 3D on Sun. Going too see it in IMAX 3D on Christmas.
Hell yeah

Tickets weren't bad, booked them online. $15 bucks a pop.

This is very funny considering how much you were bashing the movie a few days ago... I am glad you took a chance and saw it.

Not really, I just said it looked gay.....which you've got to admit, does kind of if you just watch the previews.

I knew it would be some cool special effect movie, but had no idea what to expect. They've been showing previews forever, but not in a way where you get psyched up and have ridiculous expectations *cough War of the Worlds *cough. They really did downplay the film with the trailers.

You've really got to see this in IMAX 3D. Regular 3D was amazing, but I can't even imagine.

Incredible film, and I'll keep saying it.

Nah- it's actually pretty cheap. If you look up tickets at AMC they're like $14 a person or so ($2 more if you buy online).

I'm kind of pissed it was so much better than I was expecting (argued with a friend who saw it that I wouldn't see it because I knew "just by watching the asstacular trailers" that it was gonna be shit. I was so wrong).

The movie is actually really damn good. I'd see it again.

there are so many people out there that are saying the movie still hasn't made enough money and it won't last through christmas. Sherlock Holmes is coming out and the reviews aren't too great. The big thing about Avatar is it's ability to make people want to go back and see it again and again. This movie is going to make a fortune. The only reason this movie made 77 mil domestic is because of the snowstorm in the north east. Anyone that doesn't live in the northeast simply doesn't understand the population mass that exists in these cities. There were completely empty movie theaters all across the north east on Saturday, Saturday night, and Sunday morning. Watch this movie do better this next upcoming weekend than it did on its opening weekend.
