I never said you did it, personally. But when you download those cracked apps for free, that's basically what you are doing.

I've been going so since the original iPhone 3 years ago... it can cause problems, yes, but if you know what you're doing, it's not all that bad. I used to crash my old iPhones all the time But I've gotten it down now haha Plus, you can always just restore the Phone if it gets too buggy

You quoted me so that's what it felt like. I don't have much apps. Tom Tom and NBA League Pass are the ones I probably use most. I have a few games too but they are from big name developers such as Gameloft or Chillingo. I have a few paid Cydia apps like Lockinfo and 3G Unrestrictor. Most of the other stuff are use are free. Mostly used for theming.

Anyways, I have a BB Curve myself and my AT&T contract is up in a couple months. I am really tempted to switched to Verizon and get the Droid. I guess I'll have to check that out and also some iPhones and just see what will work for me. |

I've actually had a Blackberry (AT&T), iPhone, and now I've got the DROID Eris (Verizon). I did like the iPhone a lot - it was very capable, fit in with my use of iTunes, great apps, etc., but two things really killed it for me.
1 - the iPhone was TERRIBLE as a phone. Whether that is a function of AT&T or the phone itself, I would constantly experience dropped calls, calls that went straight to voice mail, and generally bad reception. And I'm in DC so there is no reason that the reception should be that bad. 2 - battery life. The iPhone is meant to do a lot of things, and it does them well. Listen to Pandora, play a game of Madden, watch an episode of Family Guy, etc. these are all things that you'll do when you have an iPhone. It's almost like a self-fulfilling prophecy; it is so entertaining and you can do so much, the battery just won't make through a standard work day - and can barely make it 7-8 hours. Did I love the iPhone? Yup. But I talk way too much on the phone to have to deal with that many dropped calls - and I really need at least 10 hours of battery for it to work for me. |

i had 2 bb's before i got my 3gs and i would never ever go back.. but it depends what u use it for.. the iphone is just convenient for me.. better internet.. easier to listen to music.. plugs into the car for music (i have a car charger for it).. blah blah blah.. but if the phone is work related and you are going to be constantly making phone calls and emailing and scheduling and anything of the like.. then i think the 3gs is not for you.. its not a business made phone.. I know a lot of people who have complained about that.. but if that's not the case.. then GET IT

There's only one place that the iPhone fails for me, and that's Exchange support. Yes, it has it, but it's still poorly implemented.
Aside from the fact that all emails have to go through Blackberry's servers, I think they do Exchange integration best. If Apple could figure out how to support similar features (primarily, I want to be able to have *all* of my filters running in Outlook, and still see every email that comes in on my iPhone..as it stands right now, I have to remove the filters for the important emails, so that they dump into my inbox, else I'll miss them, and *then* I have to sort them after I've read them), I'd be one happy camper. One would argue I could create a filter for all that important stuff, have it dump into 1 central folder, and then sync to that folder instead, but that's certainly not going to be conducive to archiving.

I love my 3GS, and I'm very fussy. It's great to have a computer in your pocket all the time.
Apple made it very easy to use. I set mine up in a few hours without consulting any documentation, including two email accounts, WiFi, bluetooth, contacts, calendar, music, photos and more. It helps pass the time when I'm stuck waiting for something. I was concerned about the keypad but it didn't take long to get used to it. My only complaint is battery life. I turn off WiFi when I'm not using it and that helps a lot. |

My battery dies in about 3-4 hours if I don't constantly have it plugged in (I'm almost never NOT using it) Thank you BMW for a USB plug in in our cars heh :P
