Their labor rates are supposedly cheaper than Sterling's for certain items (alignments and wheel balancing).

Ahh! Thanks for the info. If you had to choose, which would you pick lol? I get really great service from Lindsey Lexus here in Alexandria (though I've read some horror stories) and would like to have that same level of service from BMW.

Good to see them on the list. Many of my friends and family have bought BMWs from them and they've never had bad service. I had a great first time buying experience when I bought my 2010 335i. The salesman I worked with was very cool and never pressured me into anything. OH! And their showroom receptionist girls are all HOT!!! Last edited by jt335i; 03-11-2010 at 01:53 PM.. |

new century actually has some quality salesmen... but they're not the type to take every little nagging question and bargain with you down to every last penny... but if you know what you're looking for, i know a salesman *you have my word on this* who cannot offer you major discount per se... but will offer you just about the fairest price he can offer. he is a pro in the industry, and has been on the top 10 list of salesmen for BMWNA. pm me if you want to give it a shot.
p.s. the type of service you get also depends on the type of customer you are. there are many customers that go into dealerships with the attitude that they are doing new century a favor by even considering to buy from them. the salesman i know has been a top 10 BMWNA salesman for many years... so don't even bother giving him that type of attitude or else you might receive what is known to be 'bad service.' acknowledge the mutual relationship between buyer and salesman, trust him to give you a fair price, and you will have one of the smoothest transactions ever. Hey, IBC. Good to see another Quincy-ite here. My parents were raised in the neighborhood right by Wollaston Beach (Hollis Ave) and I was born at Quincy City Hosp. Still have cousins in Squantum.
Where are you at?

I agree, it's not based on quality. Classic is the worst BMW dealer I've ever been in. I don't think it's volume though, or Crevier (my old dealer) would be up there too. I assume it has more to do with how much the dealer badgers their customers to fill out the stupid survey, I know it's how they get these ratings, but some go crazy trying to get those things filled in.

I'm so happy BMW of Manhattan didn't make it to best list. There should be another list for worst performing dealerships and BMW of Manhattan should be numero uno there...
