Not much worse than what comes standard though, although I agree they're not good. The details of the ZR1 are terrible, the blue brakes, the polished wheels, the goofy hood window, the weird Nerf rear fender extensions, all of it makes it look like a sixteen year old's drawing. The Z06 looks much more purposeful and cleaner. I know the ZR1 is a touch faster, but I think I'd stick with the harder edged Z06.

I do kind of agree w you, but something about a properly modded Zr1 gets me....just nasty looking although not very clean of a design.

Here are some more proper wheels on a ZR1, though I dont like them as much in black....i would prefer silver wheels. As you can see from the cars in my profile I like clean, good looing cars.

WHAT??? U don't like the wheels???? First time I have heard that... Shit they are 3 piece wheels 19s custom made... Like 5 or 6k.... I mean look at the lip on that back wheel... I have seen very few ZO6s let alone ZR1s look this good...

OZ on a ZR1 ??? That is way tooooo much of a tuner look...

Just because they're expensive, doesn't mean they look good or are actually good wheels (Asanti and Giovanna, for example). Something like HRE's would be much more fitting.

huh? and you dont think those gawdy wheels arent a tuner look?

at least the OZ wheels are pure performance, ultra light weight and strong. I'm not saying OZ would be my choice but they are certainly better than those fugly things. I dont give a rats ass about the lip. Maybe you can post a pic of an iphone or a $100 bill on the lip and that will change my mind.

and if you havent seen a Z06 or Zr1 look better than that, just go check the Chevy dealerships, you'll see a few there.

True.. I agree but a lot of high-end cars do that. But if you have seen it move it looks like the wheels are dancing... Plus Im not sure if HRE does this but these wheels instead of the rivets being on the outside and showing they are reversed and hidden for a smooth clean look... Also if you look close there is no hose for the air its on the inside of the wheel... A lot went into these wheel they are really ground breaking...

But its all good.. Just thought you would enjoy, I just hope I didn't make any of you throw-up.. Haha...

yup me too, not saying OZ would be my 1st choice. I'd look hard at some HRE etc for a high performanc corvette. Not baller wheels or whatever you want to call those.

yeah nothing "ground breaking" about those wheels but as long as the owner likes them, thats all that matters...I guess

HRE with Dymag carbon Barrels and titanium fasteners would have been my choice if I had gobs of money laying around

Goodness those wheels look terrible...I'm sorry but I'll have to agree with the rest. By the way, the lip size on the rear looks like a 3" (at most 4") lips....nothing special. I had 5" lip wheels on my G37S. I know that due to Corvette design and offsets, they cannot accommodate fat lips in the rear without heavy modification.

Tell your neighbor to either return the car, or do the car a favor and put the stock wheels back on please...now I'm gonna have to go get my eye sight checked due to possible damage

Are you sure we're talking about your neighbor's car, and not yours?

Took the pic above on this page, sorry those wheels are not working. Its unfortunate cause im sure they cost a pretty penny. Whats kill it is the fact that they look like a star, if the spokes were straight it would probably work better.

Thanks. He's gone through 2 sets of drag radials the past 12 months. He likes to get sideways in the vette a lot. He wanted to do some "drift scenes" for the video but the area we shot the accelerations and fly-bys didn't have any good corners.
