Samsung all the way. It's tip if the line and won't fail you. I have a 58" plasma samsung and a 42" LED tv an it is the truth. I got my plasma calibrated by Beat Buy and the picture is mad crazy. Both gaming and tv look prestige.

I've a 50 inch panny plasma...calibrated of course...amazing picture. I think Plasma with deeper blacks etc. will probably give you a more lifelike image and that's what i want. People seem to love samsung plasmas also.

Panasonic bought the Pioneer Elite (Kuro) technology when they backed out of the market and now the VT is essentially the same TV (was $5,000 2 yrs ago). The Panny VT Plasma is the best TV on the market. Period. I have the a 50" GT and I get compliments regularly. I fucking loathe LCD, especially Samsung as they make a loud noise when you turn them on and off and you can't disable it.

The glare is not an issue for mine even though we have large windows leading to the back patio area, but it is not direct lighting either. Also, plasmas have a much faster refresh rate than LCD or LED so they dont pixel as much with sports and gaming. LED or LCD would do better in a bright room that gets a lot of light. |

i bought the top of the line Sammy LCD 650 120hz TOC 2.5 years ago.
i "think" it's dated as of now, but the picture quality looks soooo amazing that i don't really want to get another one. it's a 52" so the ONLY reason i would get another TV is to get something 65" or bigger. BUT, i'd hate to lose the IQ that i get from my Sammy - which was calibrated by Geek Squad when they hooked up the entire home theater. what would jesus do !?!? |
