Really, really nice car, congrats!!
Questions - what kind of tires does it come with? Does it have a spare? Also how is the road noise on the highway compared to the 335?

Well, its funny because when I build a cayman R vs a cayman S with the same features, the cayman R is actually CHEAPER, and you get more.
For example, the cayman R comes with a LSD, aluminum doors, bucket seats, and the sexy body kit and wheels as standard. The peridot green paint is included, and even after adding back in the AC, cupholders, etc, you are still saving a lot of money because you get the free bucket seats, aluminum doors, and the extra 10 HP, and LSD. Adding back the AC and other options are FREE. If I am correct, peridot green is not even an option on the cayman S, which means he probably had to pay $2,000 just for paint. Add 1 option and you are already at the base price of a cayman R. Not trying to bash OP or anyone, I was just curious. I realized this when I built a cayman S vs cayman R, my built cayman S was actually more expensive. but the OP gave his reasoning, which makes sense : ) 128i vs 135i does not even make sense because they are different cars, and the 135i is about $9,000 more, not $5000. Your car is a sweet car nonetheless. I love your color

Peridot was just a metallic paint upgrade when I ordered it, there was a short window it was available on the S. I agree, the R (and the black edition) are better values. For me, the things that made the R special (other than the extra power) were less important to me than the things I wanted to make my car a good DD. PASM is great at adapting to varying road conditions. I find the standard seats comfortable, the buckets are great, but not adjustable and I really wanted ventilated seats, it's so hot here most of the year. I did get the LSD. I was concerned that the R may be too low for around here and prefer the movable wing to the fixed one in the R.

Saw your post on planet-9 as well. Just last week I saw a Cayman R in a dealership with the same color combination. It's a great combination for this purposeful sports car. I don't recommend it on a 335i which may cause people to think it's trying too hard.
Was GT-R also on your buy list? If so why did you end up in a Cayman S? Any deals on them currently?
