Hey rs1985....how about Bertuzzi's run into the Colorado end last night that led to their goal....he hasn't lost his touch. When I watched him before the Moore incident, that's what I remember. The guy can stick handle through brambles, come out on the other side, and do something intelligent with the puck.

Sport is an allegory for life. I wish life were like the new NHL!

Yah those goals were sweet.

I don't know if y'all have noticed, but the Habs seem to be aiming in the top right corner ALL THE TIME. Is Julien teaching them something???? A lot of recent goals or near-goals have been over the Goalie's glove shoulder....

I did notice that, but thought it may have just been the scouting report on Lundqvist's tendency to drop down to his knees and to play from there.

When i played top shelf glove side was my favorite spot...if i was going to shoot that was my first pick. theres just something about scoring high on the glove that makes you weak in the knees..haha.

Indeed, those are beautiful goals.

Butterfly goalkeeping is on the way out, eh?

Um, Stew, check YOUR facts Demers was only the coach for the 1993 win.

Scotty Bowman took the Habs to 5 Stanley Cup wins (73, 76, 77, 78, 79).

But, yeah, I forgot the 1986 and 1993 wins. Still, what have they done since 1993 Hehehehe.

Because with the new equipment rules there is a nice big 5-hole when you go down into the butterfly.

It is even worse for taller goalies (like Roberto Luongo) who could reach post to post. No longer do they have much coverage in the thighs due to the smaller pads, making their 5-hole even bigger than a smaller goalie using the same butterfly style.

That's the deal, thanks meatnog.

Oh, and I pointed out (not so clearly) that Jean Perron was coach in 86.

And no, the Canadiens SUCKED under Rejean Houle and Serge savard and all the other clowns since 1993. Basically since Houle turfed Roy. Now that Gainey is in, and new rules, we as fans have something to hope for.

Watch the highlights tonight, you'll see Luongo SUFFFERING against Montreal!
