Cayenne better for family. RR sport back seat is tiny and trunk is much smaller than Cayenne.

i would never buy a used range rover. especially a salvaged title range rover.
i love RR's, but only when they're brand new... and even then, i'd be constantly stressed about it breaking down. yes, there are stories of them being reliable - i have a friend who had his for 10yrs with minimal problems. but i also have two friends who both used to own new RR Sports and these were in the shop more than on the road. they both returned the lease early because making ridiculous payments on a vehicle that cant be driven is stupid. they did look badass tho sitting on their driveways.

I don't know which part of your advice is more idiotic--the part where you seem to think that Range Rovers have seven seats or the part where you deem a Touareg V10 a better used car buy than, well, any car.

Range Rover for better performance from what ive heard from my friends who owned it.
Personally I dont like the looks. It doesnt look manly, lacks some X-factor. Cayenne looks hotter to me ! |

When I get in the same boat as you, mine will probably be a Chevy Equinox or GMC Acadia...

For me it wouldn't even be a question, Cayenne please. Faster, MUCH better built, and something about Range Rovers...I dunno they just scream "daddy bought this for me because i've been on planet earth for 16 years". I am a hopeless Pcar homer though, so there is that.

In fact I was looking for a Cayenne and then accidentally got hooked to BMW. If you are looking for Cayenne Turbo (used), pls be informed that its maintenance is very high. |

06 Range Rover sport is a nightmare. It was my previous car and it was in the shop months at a time. The minute my warranty ran out I couldnt trade it in fast enough.
Like a trophy wife. Absolutely beautiful to look at but a huge pan in the arse. |

I know of a Cayanne owner here in the UK that got rid of it, as he had so much trouble with it.......... and went and bought a Rangie instead (which remarkably, he's had hardly any issues with )
Given a choice between a RRS and a Cayanne I'd go for the Porsche, because it better on road than the RRS. But, I'd rather have a proper Range Rover because they are the mutts nuts off-road while being adequate enough on-road
