Thanks for the comments.
My dad actually has a thing against Audi (their reputation wasn't too good a few years back and my parents still hang on to that stigma). Also, my dad really does use a car to get from A-B, he isn't an enthusiast in the least. He just likes something that looks good and can pass up a car or most on the highway. He also LOVES the interior that Mercedes' offer. Definitely a winner for this car. More 'tech' than my BMW and any Audi I've been in (minus maybe the A/S8 luxury model) 4 massage types, the reactive seat (that hugs you when you turn), the sound system, 'air scarf,' heating and ventilating seats, etc etc. He is in it much more for the comfort of the drive than the performance around the canyons. Definitely the reason why I went 335is > C350 or S5. I LOVE the performance and feel of the BMW... I HATE the way the Merc handles (even with traction and all sport suspension, etc). Plus this car has a very low-key exhaust note. It has that V8 growl at high revs (but the car redlines at like 6k RPM or something tho...) The SL definitely gets a BUNCH of looks when driving around (even down Rodeo, etc). The color (which is a matte grey, not black) definitely stands out; and there aren't very many like it. BUT... on the same note, I get quite a few looks myself with the exhaust note and pop on my 335is...
