The funny thing though is that sometimes I find that having money can separate you from people. It has been interesting to see how some of my friends have responded to my success over the years. I guess they weren't really my friends. Sadly, some people get trapped in the spiral of thinking that they have to keep earning more, and forget their original motivation to accumulate the wealth in the first place. They never feel like they are getting anywhere and they never feel like they have time for their family, the money becomes a curse. I don' think that this is wealth. Moving from the conceptual, I think true wealth is a stream of income that earns itself. Ie you don't have to go to work to get it, you have investments that earn passive income and you are truly free to spend your time as you see fit. Otherwise what is the point of having money if you can't enjoy your life now?
