lol, can't agree more. Get your priorities straight, unless those are your entourage then they probably should be driving your car.

Did you actually buy the M3 or are you just renting it (i.e. leasing)?
I ask this because if you're renting the M3 and there's a mileage limit of some sort, your roommate should shoulder a larger financial responsibility. I agree with the person who said your roommate should pay for your next full service (at minimum). |

First, kick him the fuck out of your house (if it's yours). Then, have sex with his girlfriend. If he doesn't have a girlfriend, then have sex with his sister. If he doesn't have a sister, then have sex with his mother. I know he has one of those.

Seriously! That's like college days when everyone's poor and no one gives a crap about what car you have......assuming you even have one.

I don't have any roomates, but if I did I'd flash the car with valet mode before leaving town and let them have fun..
Or as much fun as the car will let them |

Exactly... M3 + roommates? Unless they are all playmates of the year your priorities are ****-ed up.
2ndly, to the guy who said he prob redlined the crap out of it with the engine cold, the M3 does not allow that. You must not own one. RPMs are restricted to 6k while engine is cold. c

OP is in LA. It's gotta be at least $2-3k/mo for 1br rent there. In a major city, it's totally reasonable to have roomates to reduce rent and own/lease an M3 for much less than the rent savings. When I lived in NYC I paid $1500/mo for one room in a 3br apt, and that wasn't even the master bedroom.

Also, I make enough to buy a couple of M3 but got a very very good lease deal so I took that. I can buy my own house but given the rent to price ratios its much cheaper and safer to rent. Saying that priority is f d up because I rent a place and lease an M3 is a kneejerk reaction but I do get where you are coming from, I donīt blame anyone though because my post obviously lacked context. |

Anyway thanks for everyones responses, its been for the most part very helpful. So the real question is aside from the 20cents per mileage charge for the lease and potential maintenance costs, what else should I be thinking about? I was absolutely furious yesterday and wanted to charge roomate based on per day market rental rates for M3īs...he admitted that he drove it 4 times. Itīs probably not unreasonable, but I canīt see how I can enforce it to be honest, i.e. theres nothing I can do if he says no. Let me know your thoughts.
On a happier note Iīm actually travelling in Europe right now, and heading to Nurburgring tommorrow. Ring is open from 5 to 7 pm only. Anyone know what else to do around there? Also FYI I only have hotel internet in the evenings. Excited to see what becomes of this thread tomorrow night EU time. |
