He was braking hard behind the safety car.
Mark was close. Vettel was watching somewhere and next thing he was hitting webber. In post interview, Hamilton said he was braking hard because he was so close to the safety car. I'm not saying it was Hamilton's fault. But some media would love to put it that way.

its really to bad he won under the circumstances. There will always be the *. I do not believe that McLaren would have done nearly as well without stealing Ferraris technology.
Just watch the Australian race again. If in doubt, compare to Canada. Look at Ferraris performance recently at Canada. Ferrari was definitely sbotaged in Monaco. |

i was racing the same time in karts as lewis
i never raced him tho he has been spoon fed all the way, had all his racing paid for for tenyears now listen carefully, he aint no wonder kid Friom leaving karting to racing F1 Alonso 2 years Schu 2 years Raikkonen 18 months Lewis Hamilton 6 YEARS no wonder he is winning in f1 with the best car, he is a very experianced racign driver, most drivers who take that long dotn ever get to f1!!! just shows you they didnt think he was redy till now!! he coudlnt win the jica British karting championship so mACLAREn mercedes made a karting class for him to dominate which was televised and had 13 drivers in, called maclaren mercedes champs of the futurte what a load of shit that was, the BIG players wouldnt even entertain that seried ad they concentrated on the prestidgious British champiosnhip give him his due, he wontthe euro FA champs in 2000 (the GP2 of karting if you will) and when he moved upto Formula Super A (The F1 of karting) he got his ass CAINED by some real racers. guys who didnt have the money to spend £400k going single seater racing, but remember lewis did, it was all paid for!!! alot of real talented racers have been lost through finacial difficulties, ones who are far more talented than hamilton.. but he has used this fantastic opportuniy to maximum effect, but having the money support and only the best people around you for ten years, of course you will succeed there wa alot of polictics aroudn the way he got in there with Ron Dennis and maclaren, ALOT... every fuckin 10 year old shows potential in a kart, his father was a bloody good business man who put him in the right place a the right time, Lewis is a good marketing tool, look what he has doen for F1 in america now after the shennanigans a few years back with the tire problem and The UK have gone mad for this ''Wonder Kid'' which is far from the truth, he is not wonder kid, just a good driver whose been gifted the world, not raw talent that has got there on merit Carlos

it annoyed me how the UK presenters gave Lewis ''driver of the day''
WTF, he led from start to finish (aprt from pistops obviosuly) Kimi Raikkonen was the driver of the day, from last to 3rd!!! now imagine he started where he should have done and he would have BLITZED hamilton

I raced in motorsport, have you???????? i know hold old he is, if he was full of raw talent he would have been put in f1 3 years ago, but he wasnt ready! kimi raikkonen, 18 months of single seater racing, thats raw talent my friend Quote:
holy crap, ive been following f1 since a child and have been to many many gp's how many have you been to? i have every race on dvd/vhs for over 27 years!!! and im only 23 i have thousands of books aswell, and having competed im motorsport and karting at the same time as mr hamilton, i am 100% qualifed to comment, if i knew AS LITTLE AS YOU DO about lewis hamilton, i too may think he is the best thing since sliced bread.. but fortunately for me i know alot about him, i knew lewis ten years ago thanks bud, saw him mincing around everyday F1 is is wheel to wheel battle!!!!! did you not watch the japanese grand prix??? kimi raikkonen last to 3rd? lots of wheel to wheel racing there!! did you not see the last lap either?? what i saw was very wheel to wheel also... hamilton has been gifted a fantastic chance which he has seized, just other better more talented racers deserve to be there more then he does

I think they will do better. This was only their first year owning the entire car and they did consistently well, drivers and constructors.

Wow!
So now Hamilton's win is under investigation!!! from f1live: "Officials are reviewing video evidence suggesting that Hamilton's driving behind the safety car at the rain-lashed Fuji Speedway led to a crash that ended the race for Mark Webber and Sebastian Vettel."

Check the video out!
If I was Weber, I would have thought that LH was pulling off for some reason. What was he doing passing the pace car? And then he did not even follow the track. Weber was in trouble because he passed LH. Maybe some remedial training in following the pace car is in order. Or, if he gets DQd maybe that will train him how to follow. |
