Pamela Anderson shot her opening credits in front of us at Huntingdon Beach, CA.
I worked a lot at British Airways and I was staying at the Windsor Hotel in front of the Windsor Castle so I got to see Prince Philips and Prince Charles a few times. I saw the Queen Mom a few times in the park in front of Windsor Castle early in the morning after a night shift.
Prince Edward stayed at our Hotel in Tokyo once. That guy is frail physically, his bodyguards are not.
Met the actress who played Tabitha Stevens in Bewitched in a hotel elevator, I just can't remember her name but she is jaw dropping gorgeous.
Erin Gray from the Buck Rogers series, another gorgeous woman.
Met Bob May the guy who was in the robot in the "Lost in Space" tv series. What a funny guy, he used to open for Jerry Lewis when they started in show business.
Talked to Lou Ferrigno at a comic book convention. That guy is freaking huge.
One of my dad's cousin is a big country music star in Québec. I see him every time there is death in the family.
Met one of our former prime minister in Montréal Airport.
Came across Gino Vanelli also at Montréal Airport. What an a-hole.
Came back one morning from Detroit with the whole Detroit Red Wings team who were going to play the Canadiens the next day.
Chatted with my idol Guy Lafleur at Montréal Airport once. His gate was next to mine. What a nice guy.
Met hockey legend Maurice Richard in the showers at Tennis 13 club in Laval. He was drinking beer with his buddies there.
Flew to Paris with famous actress Marie-Josée Croze right next to me.

When I was racing SCCA I walked closely past Paul Newman a few times. Didn't say anything, of course, he deserved to be treated as a racer. Once my wife got asked if she was with him (as entourage, not partner). She realized while watching me practice from the grid area, she was inadvertently standing next to his car, there for the next session.

Beat Chip Ganassi in a Formula Ford race once. I wasn't anywhere near him on speed, but he didn't finish, and I did.

Not to sound cocky but I've met a handful of world renowned celebrities from all around the world. Most of the time they come up to me to take pictures. Pointless to name them all but some examples would be Mickey Mouse, Snoopy, Winnie the Pooh, Snow White, all 7 dwarfs and a lot not even worth mentioning. I took pics with all of them but to respect their privacy, I've decided to leave them out.

this is an intersting story, i was at nikki marina in miami a few years ago and i go to the bathroom to take a leak. all of a sudden these 2 huge guys go to the urinals on either side of me, i look up and realize that one is dennis rodman and one is oj simpson.

I've had more celebrity sightings here in NYC than I care to count. I don't really get star struck and I'm sure these people prefer not to get noticed to bothered so it works well for me. My wife works with all A-list women so I see a lot of them often. From Jennifer Lopez to Cindy Crawford to Beyonce

Gwenneth Paltrow bought the penthouse in my building but owned it for only about 4 months before she got married and moved into another building

One of the other notable regular interactions I had was with Philip Seymour Hoffman and his son. I would see them all the time because his son likes my dog

I'm probably the least outgoing person every, so actually walking up to a total stranger (aka celebrity) would be totally out of the question.

That being said I have been around a bunch of musical celebrities having worked for Clear Channel for a number of years. Honestly I wish I would have been into meeting celebrities and what not because it would have been an amazing job. Honestly I don't even know the names of half the people I met. I remember one time one of the other guys snapped a picture and I happened to be the in background eating at the catering station. That picture ends up on the site and my sister calls me like OMG do you know who that is you are sitting next to?? Nope.

On side note. Recently I was at one of my favorite taco trucks and saw Vanilla Ice there. Honestly the only reason I recognized the guy was because he has some show on one of the home improvement channels that I had just watched before I went there. He was there with a couple of people. No one seemed to know who he was (or they were ignoring him like I was) but he seemed pretty cool waiting in line for his tacos.

As far as global name recognition goes, (and because this is a car forum) I'd say the nicest "celebrity" I've met, who actually looked me in the eye and at least pretended to be interested in actually talking to me for more than 2 seconds, was Mario Andretti.

Complete opposite to his son Michael, who was a total jerk.
