agree e92 isn't that attractive. (though owners have done some nice aftermarket work.)

http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=78846

actually no bmw's are. they have this weird like "almost" feeling to them. like something's always just a little "off" 5er? c'mon. 6? wow. the 7 is ok, x5 decent. x3 too skinny and fem. the e90 is probably the "least" unattractive. seriously is there a bmw that you look at and say "oh, that's a good looking car?" or are you always trying to convince yourself to like it more than you do?

btw, mb is boring but not odd. audi boring too but has a wee bit of style.

if bmws had a slightly better int/ext people would be busting the doors down black friday shopping style to get one. in fact, if bmw did this I believe no one would ever buy an audi or mb, guess they must feel bad for the other car companies so they keep their int/ext designs subpar.

s5 is nicer, not amazing looking but it works. Driving, gas costs, and depreciation are all serious considerations of course.

amazing how many compromises there always are. also amazing how lucky we all are to be debating which great cars we bought or may buy!

Maybe some people on here are just car enthusiasts who like cars aside from the one that they own. I own a 335, and I really like the new S5. I don't think there is anything wrong with that. For the price difference I would never buy one, but I still like it being a car enthusiast.

We all know audi just copies BMW and Merc. designs that's why they come out a couple of years after the BMW and MB counterparts have been out. Its weird that the S5 looks like a 335.

what are you smoking? please tell me so I can think like you dude the E92 is a nice car but just like every other bmw they need some improvement, but of course if you ask a bmw owner there going to disagree that why they bought it . IMO the S5 is a dead sexy car I'd take it over a E92 any day of the week. And so what if audi comes out with cars later then MB or BMW thats smart on there part so they could beat out both of them

I agree 100%. I can appreciate the fine machinery that the S5 is. I like cars period...not just the ones that bare the BMW roundels.

I think the S5 is better in every single aspect but one . . . the roof does not come down.

If it did, I would be sitting on silk nappa leather in my S5 instead of this cheap alligator skin "Dakota" crap. And I would not have the twitchy steering and meat grinding 6, I would have solid steering and a velvety smooth burbling V8 in the S5.

Simply put, the S5 owns the 335. I own a 335 and love it, but I wouldn't put it up against an S5. Two different cars IMO.

Maybe I agree with that the S5 is closer to the 6 series, not the 3, thus why the car seems to beat the 3 series in eyes of some. I still think it's bit over the top.

R8 - now that's a cool Audi.

Many of the reasons are subjective...to each his own. I am not beholden to any brand name...ever. I think people who are need to get off the cool-aid. I guess I am one of the "traitors" as you suggest, because if it were available, I would consider an RS5.

I agree with most in that the s5 has the 335 beat in the aesthetics dept.(inside and out) still, the 335 wins the "bang for the buck" when it comes to the performance aspect.

Forgive me but, I think this is a retarded thread.

Is something wrong with expressing respect about a different car than our own? Does it matter whether or not we have a reason or not? Does it matter if we are leasing or bought a 335 or not?

Bottom line is, the S5 is an amazing car, the 335 is also an amazing car. That's that
