The car looks like it's ready to pounce when viewed from the front 3/4 in real life. It not only looks good on the outside, but the interior design is also (at the very least) up to par with many German competitors. My only beef with it when I sat in it was that the buttons felt a little so-so. I was playing with one on the highway, nothing serious, just some spirited driving. The guy was cool about it. I was staring at the front in my rear view mirror. Very sharp indeed.

I think the OP's views are a little extreme. This Caddy is different from the hunk o' junk of the past. I think it's a sign of Caddy not screwing around anymore. Good for them.

That's an example of the crappy CTS that is no more. Thank god...that's all I can say.

The transformation between the two generations could be compared to the design transformation of the outgoing 7 series, from way back in 2002 when it was an ugly duckling (still is), to the much, much better looking facelifted version that's on the road now.

Yes, it's decent looking, but the CAR is crap. Engine, suspension, materials: crap. The CTS is a hot air balloon and the 3 series is an F22 Raptor. Cadillac needs to stop advertising its supposed, superficial, juvenile superiority. They did the same thing with the original CTS.That car used to look "decent" too. Defend it all you like. 5 years from now, the new CTS is just another $12k car. It's all about quality, not looks. If you ever have the opportunity to inspect one, just check out a few things like the fog light surrounds, the fender grills, etc. You won't believe the quality and feel of the materials Cadillac is using on a $40k+ car. For God's sake, they've had 20+ years to try and at least match BMW's build quality and handling dynamics. What exactly have they been doing during that time??? If this is the best America can come up with, we're in serious trouble.
When you will wake up from your blind fanboy dream? How is the engine crap? It produces 300 HP on 87 octane. Since the beginning it has been reliable. How is the suspension crap? You have 3 suspension configurations to choose from. I will give you that it isn't adjustable like you get with a BMW with sports package, but that doesn't make the CTS's suspension crap. Are you one of those people who bashes the 'Vette for using leaf springs? You keep on thinking the materials are crap. The front bumper is die cast metal not plastic which even BMW uses on the 3 series. The interior material wise is on par if not better then the 3 series( for me personally, I am leaning towards the better side). While I haven't driven the previous gen CTS, the new CTS is worlds better then the previous gen in most areas( especially in the interior).

Yes, the CTS is a dog compared to the 335i. That is what happens when the vehicle weighs 4000 lb. and being the size of the 5 series. C&D got the DI CTS 0-60 in 5.8 so it is a sub-6 second car.
