Shouldn't make too much of a difference because, hypothetically, Mercedes would pay BOT or RUS whatever they think they are worth and HAM salary wouldn't affect that. Driver's salaries are not included in the budget cap anyway so things don't necessarily change with HAM 2-year extension.

ouch for Merc's that probably some dark mood is getting real.. i believe it wont be this bad on other tracks but Lewis more 30 point behind now.. its still recoverable but if in Silverstone things wont get better it might be too late...

im not fan of pushing out the other car its not fair but its part of racing.. though Alonso and Russell showed how racing can be done as well..

im not sure Norris or Russell d be a better choice for Merc's future.. both very good drivers but i guess i d go for Norris after McLaren contract ends.. but im sure McLaren would not even think of losing him.. from the beginning Norris looks a better racer than Russell to me.. now it shines even more.. both has a very bright future for sure..

PER was pretty disappointing today.
I wonder what would have happened if he didn't try to overtake NOR on the outside in the beginning.
That was a poor choice, even if NOR pushed him off the track. The RB car is I think strong enough to find a safer way.

If PER was more patient, this race could have easily been a Red Bull 1-2. Sometimes you have to let the race come to you and I think VER has learned that for this season - those were the risks that he used to take in previous seasons, this year he's letting the car do most of the work.

I don't know what kind of set up PER has with his RB16, but you would have to think that the pair of RB16b are clearly the best car on the grid this season so there's no reason to think you wouldn't be able to overtake NOR later on in the race.

They couldn't get enough parts ready in time. So its not "policy" as you falsely claim.....
And yes, like I said before, then VER gets priority. He IS the first driver.
And today he also showed WHY he IS the first driver.
And that's the way in every team. If they don't have enough new upgraded parts, of course the first driver gets those parts. That's not "policy", that's the difference between first and 2nd driver.
Just as the whole car is develloped around the first driver....

IF you want to proove your ridiculous claim, I want to see a quote from either Marko or Horner that they don't give the 2nd driver the newest stuff, even if it's available and the driver wants it.

TBH I don't understand how you can come to such a ridiculous claim. It's in RB's best interest also for the 2nd driver to perform as good as possible. You know, there is also this thing called a constructors championship.....
I don't think there is any team out there that has the "policy" to willingly deny their 2nd driver their latest technology when available. Because that's plain stupid.

Checo just had to push his brake pedal today , that was already enough to play the Red Bull strategy to hold off the 2 Mercs behind him...

Seen afterwards , it wasn't necessary as MAX was unstoppable !
Checo had to finish on the podium today ...
