I believe my final production date was 9/12. In transit now. I just called the Genius Hotline and they said I'm at port without a vessel. Hopefully they are still behind and I'm on a boat.

When I called earlier today they told me the same thing and shortly after calling my build switched to in transit.

Yeah.. the “Genius” people aren’t quite genius. I honestly don’t think they have any more information than the website, and probably even less. Moreover, they feed you inaccurate information every single time.

For instance, they told me many times that it takes 2-3 months to get a ship assigned after its in 165 status. And, when I called today, after my status changed to “Awaiting carrier assignment”, they told me that its still at the factory and hasn’t even reached the port yet, when we all know that it changes after its on a ship. Then, when I called again after it changed to “at the port” and then to “in transit”, the “genius” was trying to convince me that “in transit” means from the plant to the port, and definitely doesn’t mean it’s on a ship. Even after I told them that “in transit” came after “at the port”, the “genius” told me that its 100% not at the port yet and is only in transit from the plant to the port, and that I’d have the car in 3-6 months.

The thing that is most frustrating is that, rather than at least saying they don’t know, they give you absolutely inaccurate information and then double down on it, deceiving people into thinking that they actually know this information for a certainty.

I have good news for me as well as others. As previously indicated, in the forum, My Garage and Genius are not current.

I was at Ready for Transport since 9/15. Up until this morning, the production status had not changed and Genius indicated that I didn't make the Virgo Leader that recently left port.

This morning, I checked My Garage and my production status skipped several steps and I am in Transit on the ship headed to the West Coast.

Therefore, others with similar production date may be on the Virgo Leader with an ETA of 10/8.

She's still going to sit in their garage though until Monday morning since I am going straight to the ppf shop and that's the earliest they can get me in. Curious to see if they have any other unallocated M2s on the lot when I get there as I believe their truck had a few others besides mine.

I’m wondering if mine is on the Virgo as well. It says in transit on the tracker in my BMW, but the genius said it’s still at the port in Mexico on Friday, which makes no sense from what I’m reading here of others experience with the genius hotline.
Why would it say in transit if it’s at the port?? Lol
It was sitting at ready for transport status and then skipped all the steps to in transit status in one day.

Car looked excellent in person when I saw her yesterday at the paper signing. The HAS definitely settles a little more than than initial pics and the CF inlets look like they belong agaisnt the ZB. Look forward to her initial drive tomorrow morning even if it's only straight to the ppf / ceramic/tint shop. Then get to open her up some when I pick her up for reals Wed night or Thursday morning whenever it ends up being ready. Then throw on the spacers Fri or Sat to hold me over til can get some some lighter wheels with proper offsets sometime after Xmas. Should be a good week 🤗

Take a look at Apex Racing, they have some good offsets for different driving conditions for the G87. I am personally trying to fit without the need for spacers and they have some great setups listed.

Oh ya when I go after market 100% correct offsets no spacers. These spacers are temp to fill the oem gap til can get those wheels. Ones I'm currently considering:
1. VT Forged SL-A SuperLite
2. Apex VS-5RS
3. Vorsteiner V-FF103
4. Edelweiss LT3

All pretty light, can sit flush with no spacers and can be had reasonably. There are plenty of others out there but many of them start getting into much higher price ranges.

I would check out VT Forged. I have a set of SL-As on order. Hit up Andy man. He’s super great to work with.
