Agreed and my M2 is Brooklyn Grey but I probably would have picked Skyscraper if it were a choice at the time. Greys are safe. Black accents look good with Brooklyn and other greys and it appears clean longer than other colors. But I really like a nice blue. My STi is Lapis Blue Pearl metallic and it’s one of my favorite colors. Bronco in Velocity Blue which is a bit too loud a color but at the time was the best choice. Both are amazing in sunlight. Brooklyn looks good too but agreed it’s kind of boring. Portimao is also a great color, just not into frozen colors.

Those may be in concert with the laser tail lights, new steering wheel and interior colors/changes. |

In a stroke of good luck, it was parked next to a Skyscraper Grey X3. Wasn't wild about that color, either! Brooklyn Grey in the background to complete the set. |

It's a perfectly decent color, but not as appealing as others in this range. |

I like this idea. Was not a fan of Vegas Red but maybe it was because it was on a 5 series.

Many people, through no fault of their own, are either color blind, unable to visualize a color on a surface (car) they haven’t already seen, insecure, or a some combo of all three. This is how we end up in an exhaustingly deluded paradigm of focus group derived, perennially tired grays. And everyone wonders why.

If anybody is curious about what Portimao Blue Metallic (gloss) looks like for the upcoming MY25’s, here’s a few shots. I’ll definitely be getting the frozen on mine.

Portimao Blue will look nice on the M2 (not a fan of the frozen), and I really liked my PB 330e until my wife brought home a Marina Bay Blue X3MC. The Marina Bay Blue is much better imo. Portimao has a purple look to it under some lighting.

The X3MC I drove yesterday was Marina Bay Blue. Yes, it’s a nice blue. A little dark. I’m glad PB is an M2 cooler. My last Bimmer was LeMans Blue which I loved, but always thought was just a little too dark.

I may just buy a standard color and put an green or yellow PPF wrap on it.
Imola red is the best red BMW have. Classy but still sporty red!

I really want purple/violet.
I had an E36 in Techno Violet and am waiting to see what individual colors are available. The CS might be interesting, but I have to see exactly what it is if I have to give up a MT to get one. Ultimately I'm just waiting to see what 2025 brings because I am buying some variant of M2.

Yes PB is a nice color. It just had a purplish hue to it under certain conditions, much like the orange hue in Toronto Red. I'm not a fan of purple cars, and Marina Bay Blue is more of a true blue, imo. PB will look good on an M2 with the shadowline pkg & black wheels.
