A lot of truth to what you said...when I started this thread years ago, I wanted to truly have a TA thread, but the value of that went out the window for 2 reasons.

1. we were in super bull mode for past 3 years and the play was not to trade but to buy long and hold for big gains...ie-TSLA, FB, AAPL, DDD, VJET(my favorite cause I owned this trade), AMAVF, SLCA, HCLP, etc...only one that didn't behave if I recall is BBRY.

There is no need to trade short term during super bull markets.

2. It is time consuming to capture, host, then paste images on this thread...afterall, nobody is paying you or me to do it, this is a BMW message board lol.

Only time will tell what you guys think of the advice you are getting on here for free...I can personally say that I have paid a lot of money in the past for market advice which was way shittier than the advice I have given on this thread for the past 3 years for free...

That being said, within the next 6-9 months, it will be time to start putting up charts on here and turning this thread back to a TA thread...but TA can only go so far, the true secret is the magic crystal ball I look into every night, that is key haha.
This is why I've backed out of this thread. In a supper bull it's a passive buy and hold strategy; Aka boring for technical/quant traders. Our time to shine is when things are volatile and not very directional.

I've been using this time to build up my quant side of trading to assist me with technicals. I'm mainly using different machine learning techniques to make forecasts for stock prices. I've also been using machine learning for determining which are the best technical indicators to use for particular assets.

Have you picked up any new techniques Mact?

Radioshack on its last legs, trading at all time lows (62 cents/share).

Edit: Make that 58 cents/share. It dropped another 6% today from 62 cents/share to 58 cents/share.

I wanted to be RSH bull since they hit 80cent, but I just can't see how they will get a new line of credit or even survive with the new line of credit.

SHORT now to LONG after bankruptcy (depending of quantity of shares shorted) would be a good gain.

Too bad they aren't "too big to fail" according to the U.S. government's standards

I know some people who made a killing on Ford stock, buying at around $3-$5/share back in 2008 (which isn't quite Ford's all time low but it's close).

It'll be very interesting to see what the market does next week. I think it'll be a down week, we just couldn't end strongly on Friday.

Looks like 1900 won't hold if we continue selling off into EOD and tomorrow.

/ES got as low as 1899.75 before bouncing. It's currently up around six points off those lows, which is not strong enough to warrant this low as the bottom. I think the mid-1800s will be a great place for a swing trade to the long side.

Iono I still consider myself a noob and a very passive investor so here's my observation. Still trying to learn through the Morgan Stanley Financial Training Program.

MSFT is in a fairly bullish state, there was also death cross quite recently not to mention suggestion that pricing may be kinda volatile(Bollinger). I would imagine prices might take a dip? I've been looking at the Ichimoku Cloud though I'm still new to the technique.

My idea is just leave em in a S&P index but of course where's the fun in that

My crystal ball shows me the shares will move higher. Buy now before it's too late. Their cloud offerings are growing stronger release by release. Azure is going to become an enterprise juggernaut.

Satya is making very significant changes from not only a technology perspective, but also (and more importantly) he is changing the MSFT culture. This company is already in the midst of turning around. In five years time it will be a shell of its former 30 year self.

If the market does retract due to the highs....MSFT is one of the safest stocks to be in. Look at their cash and yield.

So buy now and buy a lot. It's a win - win. For you and for me! Besides.....you don't want Cortana upset with you now do you???

I would love to know. If they continue to only sell camera and supplemental services, I don't think I would be interested.

I bought some (Very little srs of) Pandora today. I don't even listen to music on the phone.
(Heck, I dont even Tweet, and had Twitter for 2mo).
I think 27.50 would be an decent target price to exit WITHOUT any good/bad news.

I still couldn't pull the trigger on AMD, but I will most likely to buy some AMD within 3-5days.

El Pollo Loco is another one I am interested in. El Pollo Loco was one of my favorite chicken place in S.CA. I haven't had El Pollo Loco since 2004.

KO

Had to close my calls earlier because it wasn't hitting 42. by Friday. But the flip just happened. Looks good on Macd and rsi from here. Also crossed the 200 moving average. If she closes the gap watch out....
