Does 165 mean shipped? I was 160 last week on 4/26 and 165 as of couple days ago. Hopefully I'm on cepheus or on the next one!

Are the 2025 allocations going to be in June? Should be transitioning soon here right?

How did you get Genius to give you your build week? I called the number and when I said vehicle production status, it just said to login to the website and put in my production number. It never gave me the option to enter it over the phone and provide me any information.

I did it by getting through the prompts and actually getting a person on the phone. They confirmed the build week the dealer told me.

Ah, ok. I didn't realize you could actually talk to a person, I thought it was just an automated system. Thanks.

Your online status is "Ready for Transport" and CA-confirmed status is 165? If yes, mine has been in the same state since 04/19. Maybe we're all just waiting for the next batch and boat before we go to "Awaiting Carrier Assignment" and "Departed Port of Exit".

Do mid-Atlantic and NE dealerships go through Brunswick or Baltimore? I thought it was the latter. I know cars coming from Germany do go through Baltimore by default (for mid-Atl & NE).

Depends on the dealer? My '22 m240 came through Brunswick with a dealer in South Carolina. My G87 is going into Baltimore to a Tennessee dealer.

BMW drops of in Freeport, Brunswick, Baltimore, and NJ I think. I might be missing a stop or two.

NE deliveries go through Newark. My CA emailed me to let me know they are looking into the length of time it's taking to get my car on a ship and specifically mentioned that port as where it would go.

Maybe someone here can ask this question. If you are on the West Coast, does the transport have to go through the Panama Canal? That is one of the bottlenecks. I am in LA and BMW goes through Port Hueneme. Which I am sure a lot of you guys already know. Thanks..

No, straight from Lazaro Cardenas up the West Coast. Quick trip.

Yes I have been status 165 since April 9th. Not really sure what we are waiting for but I hope it happens soon. Also having port installed HAS.

My car arrived at the dealership, I am in New England so the car came through the NJ VPC. Process took just over 3 months from allocation received to "at the dealership." Hopefully will pick it up in a couple of weeks:

11/20/23 - Added to dealer's M2 waitlist, #7 in Line (no deposits required)
1/22/24 - Texted by CA that allocation available (I suspect a lot of people dropped off and want to wait for '25s, my build date even moved up about 3 weeks suspecting this was a national thing)
1/30/24 - 111: Allocation received w/ prod #
2/5/24 - 112: Scheduled for production (1 week from last step)
2/19/24 - 150: Production Begins (2 weeks from last step)
3/2/24 - 151, 152, 153, 155: These quickly progressed over 2 days, I suspect the factory doesn't keep up with these accurately
3/4/24 - 160: Production complete, Ready for Transport (2 weeks from Start of Production)
3/27/24 - 195: In transit from Mexico to NJ VPC (just over 3 weeks waiting for a boat in Mexico)
4/6/24 - 196: At the Port of NJ (10 days on Glovis Crystal)
4/30/24 - 195: In transit released to trucking company (3.5 weeks at the port of NJ. I had MP-HAS installed, likely reason for the delay)
5/2/24 - 198: Arrived at Dealer

Total time just over 3 months from allocation received to car arrived at the dealer. Biggest delays were waiting for a ship from Mexico to the NJ VPC, and then 3.5 weeks at the VPC waiting on getting MP-HAS installed. I can see the time being almost a month shorter if your car gets to port and doesn’t have much wait for a boat and if you aren’t adding any port-installed options. Not sure if there was a parts backorder or if we are all ordering the MP-HAS and there is a bit of a line. Still worth the wait on the MP-HAS install from a price and warranty perspective IMO.

Finally took delivery of the car yesterday.
Brief timeline of Allocation to Delivery (deposit down March/23 and got allocation Jan/24)

1/26 Allocation received and Prod date of 3/4
3/1 -3/4: every assembly, paint shop steps are done (which is super quick IMO)
3/6-3/26: waiting for a Ship to transport, which as people said this is hit or miss depends on ship location/availability.
3/27-4/1: Glovis Crystal ship arrived at Brunswick, GA port and waiting for port install HAS kit.
4/2-4/19: whatever is being done for port install and PDI etc.
4/20-4/25: car in transit
4/26: car arrived at Performance Center

5/2: delivery day!!! PCD experience is absolutely fire. So much fun!

Glovis Sun still at port in Veracruz. Do these ships make more than one stop or is Brunswick the final destination before it goes back to MX or heads off to maybe EU?

Beautiful! Love your matte blue wrap too - I really appreciate the OCD! Pictures do not do these cars justice in terms of how wide the hips are, and just how squat/wide it is.

Just curious about the process... If my car is currently in "ready for transport" status, could it wind up on the Glovis Sun currently docked, or would it have to be in a later status, like awaiting assignment or dispatched from factory?

Only way to really know would be talk to your dealer/genius and they will know which boat you are on. I would say there is a good chance you make that boat because the website tracker lags by a day or so. For instance mine still had "ready for transport" the day my boat left the Mexico Port and it updated the next day and the boat was already 3/4 the way to Florida. I was using the chrome trick as well.

Haha thanks, went thru a thunderstorm and had to make a pitstop, the wrap was flapping like a bird
And I agree 100% the backend in person really is wide as heck, I constantly got distracted seeing my car’s hip in my rear view mirror when driving back lol!

Usually a ship either does the west coast east coast or Europe. Since this ship is east coast it goes to Brunswick, Baltimore and a couple of other ports in the north east before returning back to MX.

NEVERMIND - I did a google search & got the extension!! (Now you've done it... making me ask another question. What's the "chrome trick?" ) LOL

I did call the genius line yesterday & she said, "your car is in transit to port but still shows ready for transport. I can tell you no carrier has been assigned yet."

She was a really fun lady, cracking up at my jokes about the wait & cracking her own. She said she loves the new M2, her favorite current BMW coupe. She even said she loves hearing the excitement of owners calling about their cars & their enthusiasm. She said the reps really enjoy the calls, talking with waiting new owners, keeping them excited about the buying process. Super nice lady!!
