Made pork loin schnitzels. Nice cuts from my butcher, then tenderized with my rolling pin between sheets of parchment paper, egg dip and bread coating, deep fried and served with veggies, sauerkraut and Dijon. And a nice dry German Riesling.

Squeezed lemon was always my go-to topping for Weiner Schnitzel. A side of pommes frites or warm Bavarian potato salad. Heaven on Earth.

Simmered fava beans

This has earned a place in the regular rotation. Really great Middle Eastern flavors featuring cumin and coriander.

fava beans
chickpeas
onion

garlic
toasted cumin seeds
cumin powder
toasted coriander seeds
lemon flesh
salt
pepper
coriander leaves (cilantro)
liberal use of EVOO

Served with pepperoncini, kalamata olives, lemon and grilled pita.

Dried figs and fresh mango for dessert.

Apparently I fell asleep after getting home… tempura cauliflower to start, I had a Cubano with calibicitas, Mrs Hubba had a Soba with shrimp salad, and we shared some green Chile grits of which I ate most. Delicious.
