Thank you Eagles. Only bad thing about this is we now cant lose to the Commies and tank their draft pick. Unless the Eagles lose to the Giants, which is a 50/50 thing right now with how the Eagles are playing.

Regarding the Lions, it was just a whole big clusterfuck. 68 and 58 walk to ref, and 68 says he just said "report". Youve gotta clarify who is saying what when 2 of you walk up, and get confirmation from the ref that he heard, which it looks like the ref never acknowledged him. Then 70 comes in brushing his jersey, which is the unofficial way of declaring yourself eligible to a ref, and is how hed been doing it throughout the game, and the ref assumes hes doing it again. Campbell tried to get tricky, and tricked the refs as well. The Lions had the chance to correct the refs, the ref told the defense before the playclock even started, but they didnt. End of the day, the ref tells the defense who is reporting eligible, so going through that whole charade of 3 guys walking up to the ref to act like they are all reporting is just a good way to get it screwed up.

It almost seemed like they thought they could argue their position after the fact, and hope the refs sided with them, which would have screwed the Cowboys over on the 2pt since they had no idea 68 was eligible. Which, with how Cowboys games have gone over the years with the refs, was a pretty solid idea.

Really expected a shootout between the 2 offenses. Packers D has been horrible lately but offense has been good. Was really surprised to see the pressure put on both Minn QBs. But lets not underestimate Love.....along with his group of young WRs, they can really move the ball. Love has quietly thrown 30 TDs this year. But also great play calling and play design by LaFleuer.
And with the Bears scoring 37 points (!!) Sun, they could certainly be the spoiler next week.
I agree that Kirk should be resigned and we should expect him to be the solution at QB for the next 2 to 4 seasons. I think doing that gets Jefferson to stay. Who knows if we would want to sign a deal if we don't have a solid QB in place.

Are the Packers win and in this weekend, or are there are other teams that have to lose too?

I went into Sunday thinking the Cowboys game was the perfect outcome. The Cowboys win set the Eagles up for the #2 seed. While the way the Cowboys won made it feel totally like they lost - which is what I root for every week. Then we went into the Cardinals game and play horribly and every ounce of hope i had for the season was flushed down the toilet. The Eagles are broken as a team, and they broke me as a fan. Football sucks. I wouldn't be surprised if we lose to the Giants this weekend and then to the Saints/Bucs the week after (on the road now...)

It looks like we are way underestimating the Ravens. They had two statement wins the last two weeks and look really good going into the playoffs.

So, even with no injuries, they lose?

Ravens & 49ers in SB with Ravens winning in OT. I don't think 49ers will get blown out again.

This. Bad coaching from Campbell. He tried to get cute and it didn't go well. I still don't see how the refs screwed them. They screwed themselves. What a bad decision at a critical juncture in the game. The continued attempts at a two point conversion, also stupid when you didn't need two points to tie. These teams are taking the no risk it no biscuit philosophy way too far. That shit will get you fired!

I say RAVENS will represent the East.

But.... I'm NOT giving Niners the SB appearance just yet. They got dominated in their house! This sport is ALL about Matchups. .
My Cowboys need to handle business against Washington this final game and that secures two Playoff Home Games, where they have dominated all but 1 game.
PLAYOFFS will be interesting and hopefully, competitive

$300,000 drink! Far worse than blowing $25,000 on .08 BAC!

According to the article, that fine amount represents less than 1% of 1% of his worth.

That fine won’t damage him financially. It’s like a parking ticket to us poor people. It’s a nuisance and embarrassment more than anything. I expect more antics from him since there will be a lot more losing to come.

I heard a story on Barstool Sports about the owner of the Panthers. Apparently when he was working on wall street back in the day he got really pissed at his boss, left the company to start his own thing. Went on and made some money, bought his old boss's house, tore it down, and built a bigger house on the lot. That is an impressive power move. Good for him for being super rich but what a friggen douchebag.

The damage will come to him with his inability to attract talented managers and executives to run his team. After seeing that, what non-douche bag person would ever want to work for him?? Then what about players not wanting to be part of an organization where the owner is like that?

Is this the same dude who stuck it to the city of Rock Hill, SC when he halted the construction of the new Panthers practice facility there?????

That's the guy. Honestly, without that video of him throwing his drink on Jags fans he wouldn't even be on my douchebag radar.

I cannot imagine the feeling I would have if I spent mucho money to own a sports team and have that team be as bad as they are. I get super wound up when my fantasy team (with a $20 buy in this season) lost in the first week of the playoffs.

Not sure what you mean by that. Love has been the best QB in the game the second half of the year and it's not particularly close, either. The reason he looked good is not because of your defense....it would have been even worse had our 2 top WR's been playing. Enjoy your offseason.....again.

Jordan Love in the second part of the season....with all 1st and 2nd year WR's and our best WR missing the last 3 games.
– Passing TDs (18) – #1 in league
– Total TDs (20) – T-#1 in league
– Passing yards (2,238) – #1 in league
– Completions (183) – #3 in league

Our defense is suspect but they normally play better in the playoffs. I doubt anyone wants to be play these guys in the playoffs. We obviously need to first take care of business Sunday....

Where I was coming from was a place of being really frustrated with the Vikings defense. I hadn't noticed how well Love was playing as a QB. It goes back to the Vikes- Bengals game in week 15 when they put a stat on the broadcast saying something like "the Vikings defense hasn't allowed a TD in 166 playing minutes". Then the Bengals went off and scored TD's on consecutive drives and the Vikes D hasn't been able to stop anyone since. At one point in the season the Vikes D was considered a top tier defense which we haven't had for a while. Then it all fell apart......
