I wasn’t born with a tax free estate to rely on like many of my colleagues in medicine.

This was the last M car that was attainable by the working/middle class people but if the tariffs increase the price by 25% it’s just out of reach.

It’s just a car though. I get it. But it represents something far bigger and scarier. This is what happens when the ruling class divides the working class. It’s textbook. Distract them with a culture war (those scary trans people!1!1!1!) and they won’t remember who is pooling and stealing their wealth and decreasing the living standard for the many. Keep going down this path and you’ll force class consciousness - which I welcome. The pendulum will swing and the right will create the very boogie man they hallucinate about today. The power of the working people is fractured today but it won’t be forever.

Yes, they spoke to those 3 dealers, but the statement in between says any cars, it does not say cars from those dealers.

Well said. We in Europe feel your pain and appreciate that America and Americans are not all defined by this current dysfunctional and grifting administration. Hopefully common sense and the rule of law/constitution will win out in the end.

That’s pretty interesting, and I hoping this is true for all of us. I got my allocation Feb 1st, and car went into production Feb 27th. It should be finished on the 12th according to BMW Genius, and actually moved up a day from previous completion date. Haven’t got any communication from my dealership yet, other than when I called my SA who said he keep me posted. Good luck!

He negotiated the current deal we have, so if it's a bad deal, it's his deal.

And yeah the formal facing reason he is giving for the tariffs isn't manufacturing it's fentanyl. A bold faced lie considering very little fentanyl comes across the Canadian border.

More likely he blinked because Canada can shut the lights off in NY, Michigan and Wisconsin.

They can also shut down oil and gas supplies in the North East.

I just spoke with my SA and she couldn't offer any more information other than what Genius is telling me, which is that it is being transported to the VPC, even though that is like 300 yards away from where the ship was moored last week. That was supposed to happen by Mar 4, but is still showing this status for now.

My only hope is that either they don't collect the tariff because the mechanism is not yet in place or one of these delays happens again. Very stressful ending to what should have been a fun experience.

The car is literally 5 hours away by transport to my dealer at this point.
