I used to be pretty jealous, more so because of the female than myself but that was situational. These days when I catch someone checking out my girl, I take it as a compliment. Beats the hell out of other people looking at your arm candy and wondering what the hell is wrong with you......or her even.

As long as no form of initiative is taken by either party, there's no reason to be upset. No different than oogling the girls on the cool chick thread, those girls all belong to someone too, their SO just isn't watching you. Men and women alike, regardless of whether or not they are with someone; can't deny the laws of attraction. I catch guys at the gym constantly eyeing my lady, and I've caught her checking out other guys......when I'm not checking out other girls. (A person can't help but notice some people) It's when this is acted upon that causes issues. My thoughts are always, if she's coming home with me, then it doesn't matter. If she goes home with him, let him have her.

As some may know from other threads, I put in a pool recently. It has in floor cleaners that are about 1.5" in diameter and pop up about and inch out of the floor to clean it. They work great and turn off about 6pm.

I was in the hot tub with a friends sister who was staying with me the other night, and it was cold out - like 40F and dropping. We were in opposite corners of the top enjoying several wines and the cool air. Then all hell broke loose.

Seems the pool has freeze protection, and when it got below 35 it turned the water feature and gas fires on, and all of the pumps. Including the cleaning system. Well, guess what she and I were each sitting on?

Unfortunately the story behind it is pretty sad. About 2 weeks ago I took my friend for MRIs because of some leg pain she was having - turned out to have a massive brain tumor, and was rushed to ER. They operated successfully, but she had a stroke afterwards, so her recovery is slow. Her sister was staying with me while visiting.

So back in the day I used to be a gym freak. I'd be in there at least 5-6 days a week, lifting and boxing. My regular range was 6'4, and anywhere between 205-210 depending on how much I was drinking.

I wasn't the top guy at the gym, but definitely in the top 10 - plus the fact that I kickboxed got me respect from the meatheads.

Anyway, the confession is that while I'd walk around the gym looking like a K1 killing machine, I'd have N'SYNC blasting in my headphones. I'd be training with real killers and I'd be blasting Rhythm Divine by Iglesias in my ears. I'd always laugh thinking what if my earbuds lost connection and some Backstreet Boys would blare our of my pocket in the middle of a sparing sesh.

Context* I graduated high school in 2000. Also I've always been a lover not a fighter.

I'm doing ok, I believe I got it some time between the 19th and 23rd. The night of the 24th I had very minor chills, probably an added blanket would've helped lol. Been unable to smell/taste since that night though. So far so good, other than one night I haven't had any other symptoms. Done with my 10-day tomorrow.

Also something that is annoying is, I'm congested. At first me and my gf thought it was allergies (i was in a very dirty city that i havent been to since 7 years ago) bc I was congested and had dry eyes. Then the next day her dad commented on a smell in the streets and thats when I realized: it's gone Claritin helped with the congestion, so I've been taking that and a doctor friend said it's ok so I've been living with a regular cold, basically.

Keep in mind i'm in my 20s with no known health problems before though

I've been fine! I got a bunch of updates for the Dating thread, need to find it. But yeah, just been busy a little bit, plus this is a safe space for me so I don't open it near her All in all everything has been great!

Found a job, getting a little under what I had in mind but with everything that's going on, can't complain. Does mean a niceish car is out the picture for a while though because I want to save up a bit in case stuff goes wrong before going out and splurging.
