Definitely is, can't believe it didn't catch for me the first time I saw it (didn't last 1 or 2 episodes), this is right up my alley.

Wow, talk about blast from the past...how old are you?? LOL.
Early 40's! I basically favorited "A.L.F.", "Small Wonder", "Different Strokes", etc…..and began watching each of the series' from childhood. I even looked up "Heathcliff", "Bionic 6", etc.

Just finished 2 seasons of "Stranger". A South Korean crime/politics drama. Would recommend. Plenty of plot twists and intertwined storylines. Streams on Netflix.

Man, take me back to the 80s, we don't appreciate it until it's gone, what a great time.

Anyway, was reading on YT and re The Boys, seems like many? ppl think that the young Mallory is hot. Really? I don't see it, she just looks like a reg woman to me. *shrugs*

Those shows didn't age too well imo! Especially Small Wonder! What do you think about that show watching it now, 35 years later?

But then again, seems like most shows I liked as a kid in the 80s, didn't age all that well.

So I know this has been discussed before but I'm just going to put this out there. My wife and I enjoy a variety of series, but this social justice political messaging is starting to wear really thin. We really enjoyed the first 2 seasons of For All Man Kind, a very interesting premise, but they are now beating the politics and I think we are done with it mid season 3. Time to find something else.

When you say they didn't age too well, are you talking about the production, effects, writing, etc.? For me It's nostalgia. I'm not looking to be wowed or anything, but the difference in the messaging is already apparent.

Yep!….hence why I'm digging in the movie and TV show crates, using old shows as a palette cleanser. I'm over it.

For me, it seems the quality of most tv shows from the 80s doesn't match up to the quality of so many of the 80s movies. This is the disappointment for me, going back and re-watching some 80s sitcoms that I thought were really good watching them as a child.

There are dozens of 80s movies that are great, and have stood the test of time; whereas I can't say the same about the 80s tv series'.

That is true, but our 80's movies had much bigger budgets than our 80's sitcoms. Nowadays, sitcoms have movie-sized production budgets.

Funny you say that. When the episode started, my wife said, "I think that's Carol Burnett." I said, "Really? I thought she was dead." She's still going and looks to be doing pretty well.

We’re even growing tired of “Woke Jeopardy!” (As we call it). Can we just have some lite entertainment, please?

I originally typed I thought she was dead and then went back and edited it to I didn't know she was still alive. She was one funny lady. Some of those skits with Tim Conway and Harvey Korman, you'd laugh until you cried.

I'm curious to see how the episode ties in

I can't imagine they spend much more time on post breaking bad Saul. But maybe that's what it is. I've read that Jesse and Walt both make appearances so that makes me think the post bb timeline isn't going to get much more play. But I did want to know what happened to Saul once he got to Cinnabon. Man, I LOVE this show. Even episodes that are off a bit are still excellent.

I'm interest too, but it may not tie in directly to future episodes. It may just be random episode to provide a glimpse of post-BB Saul and how he is always going to be a guy working an angle.

Agree, and it looks good too! I feel like since GoT ended there hasn't been a show that the entire world is collectively watching every week. Stranger Things was close, but since it wasn't weekly just didn't provide the same effect. I remember watching the YouTube videos of the famous bar where people would go every week and react to GoT, no other show has that type of reaction.

Something is being filmed near my work... will post if I ever find out what it is. Kind of odd to see the roadies take over an empty lot and fill it will 40-50 white trailers and pop up wedding tents. Thinking about wandering in with some high vis and holding a clipboard.

I don't think it's the Adam Sandler movie, that's about 45 mins away as far as I know...

Dammit, The Rings of Power looks DAMN good. Sept 2 can't come soon enough! I wonder if they'll release the whole season or just 1 episode per week?

Blade Runner: Black Lotus. I'm not normally a cartoon guy since it's not Bugs, but these 20 minute episodes work well just before bed
