Watching this now, got the Bourne bug and in this one Jeremy Renner plays the hero; I wish him well recovering from his real time horror accident.

Watched the Menu after dinner last night. Might have been upset if I had paid theatre prices for it, but watching it on a borrowed HBO Max account, it was a good waste of time. Wife didn't seem to care for it, so kept coming up with excuses to make me leave the dinner table where I was watching with my son and g/f.

While I see myself ending up at some of these fancier restaurants, I also maintain I'm just there to enjoy the food, not see/be seen.

I watched M.Night Shyamalan's new movie, "Knock at the Cabin Door". I was expecting a twist - as is typical of his movies - but there wasn't one in this movie. Not a bad watch for a Firestick and Coldstone night. I like doom & gloom, the world's going to end-type of movies though.

I've eaten at a few places like this.
Never really my choice...

Ya, it was alright, can't say it was bad but was expecting something but nothing came of it. To me, the 'decision' was kinda a no-brainer.

As many in the movie stated, I want to ENJOY my food, and I want to leave no longer hungry. These places that go off the deep end with presentation vs function (fill my belly) I won't want to go to very often.

Decades ago I rode a snowmobile to a cabin in the woods near Denver to have dinner. I might have been able to make my own way back. After seeing The Menu, no way am I getting on a boat to an exclusive island for dinner

The last couple I've watched...

The Mrs and I enjoyed this Romantic Comedy.

Watched this last night. I like Shyamalan movies on general. This was decent. I always expect a twist, which for me there was none. Dave Bautista continues to be the greatest Wrestler turn Actor, ever. Dude has said that he takes acting seriously Ave wants to be known as a good actor. I believe he is.

Knock at the Cabin was good...I guess? I don't know. Was there an overlying point of the movie or something?

The long awaited new Bourne movie has a mountain to climb bettering this one, even some late 007 films, Transporter and arguably too far fetched Mission Impossible ones pale into insignificance with me.

I re-watched it about a year ago.
Great coming of age story, and a top 80s film for sure.

Film should have been nominated for an Oscar.

Been planning to watch that one with my 11 year old. It's a great film.

I'm still confused by the movie.

I may watch it again later in the week. I'm just wondering if there was an ultimate point to the movie like a religious theme?

Hmm, for sure, but it seems like a no-brainer in terms of their 'dilemma'.

So they were a cult and there was no real threat of the world ending?
