This is my sip of choice for this evening. It's an offering from a local distillery that has won multiple awards. It's called Ironworks Bluenose Rum. It's very nice.

Edit: It may be too nice as I forgot to post this last night.

When you've had sooooo many countless mainstay spirits in a lifetime as I have, I want to seek out unique yet still flavor profiles that I generally enjoy.
Case in point... I enjoy Hibiscus Tea. The floral, earthy, lightly sweet essence of the beautiful, colorful and tropical flower makes you think of tropical getaways.

Here we have a unique liquier that is tasty on its on but adds a unique flavor profile to Margaritas and even combined with my sipping rums.
If you can find this, try it...

Picked up a bottle of this the other day. Have had a few glasses now, it isn't bad for the price point. Similar to Elijah Craig Rye with a little more bite. Feel it is fruitier as well. Solid, not sure if I'd buy again though.

I picked it up at the Hfx. Seaport Farmers Market but I see it is listed at Bishops Cellar as well. Maybe she can pick some up there.

Will do. She couldn't get the beer though... They only made 2000 bottles and they were all sold out.

That's both a good thing and a bad thing. Good that there was enough interest that they sold out but bad that there isn't any more to help benefit Ukraine. Maybe Garrison will brew another batch.
