You traded in a Ping G430 driver for $69?!! Shit, I would have bought it off you for that much. I'm seeing them go for like $200+ still, used, at the PGA Superstore near me.

It was the G30, not the G430.

Thing was pretty beat up and had a little dent on the toe of the face.

Question for everyone.

I am in need of new wedges. What is everyone hitting?
Short game is so important ive done a lot of experimenting on wedge grind/bounce and found what works for me. Interestingly i found i want a different grind/bounce for my SW and LW. My SW is a Vokey 54° D grind (12° bounce); with my LW a 60° S grind (10° bounce).
This time i went for Vokey’s new “oil can” versions of the SM10 wedges. I even decided to keep the stock oil can series’ Project X Wedge shaft installed since i have an extra set of Modus wedge shafts if i want to match shafts with my irons like ive been doing. Too soon to tell what shaft ill stay with but they sure are some pretty wedges!!

Those look really nice! I went ahead and got a 52, 56 and 60 degree Cleveland RTX6 wedges and they are awesome! Just need to dial them in.

Update about the Hybrid:

I went to Dicks after work today and was able to return the Qi10 Max Hybrid with regular shaft but had to order the Qi35 Max 4 hybrid as the one that was there wasn't anymore. Should have it tomorrow / Thursday. Pretty pumped!

Hybrid is scheduled to be delivered today between 12:45pm - 2:45pm..can't wait!

Have a tee time scheduled for Saturday but Mother Nature has other plans and it's supposed to dump about an inch of rain starting in the morning and rest of the day. So I might cancel and reschedule for either the 17th or 24th. Pretty bummed about that to be honest! Was really looking forward to testing out the new hybrid.

Week 2 of my company's golf league last night. Played decently well. Driver was good and set me up for a nice short approach shots with my wedges which were working well as I changed up my stance and that ended up being the right move.

Hoping to play more as the weather gets nicer. last week it had the weather for this Saturday as perfect! Now, down pour all day! Not happy.

I have my first tee time of the season next Thursday. Next week is always special to me as it's our annual guys golfing/fishing opener. We usually golf 36 holes on Thursday, 18 holes Friday and then make our way to the cabin to get ready for fishing. Saturday is when MN opens the season for walleye and northern pike. We are only doing 18 holes on Thursday and then no golf on Friday as im pulling my kiddos out of school to join the group for fishing. I've been doing annual fishing opener since I was about 6 years old and thought it was time to get my boys included.

The course we are playing is close to home and one of my favorites. I love everything about the experience there except for the par 3's on the back nine. They are both up large hills with small greens and seem out of place compared to the other 14 holes. Getting bogey or better you feel good about your life.

Anyone else have a hole or 2 that they despise?? When i was younger it was hole #13 at Rush Creek in maple grove minnesota. If for some reason anyone ever gets up to play that course take a nice divot out of the turf on that hole for me.....

Sounds like a great time! Have fun!

I would love to do something like that. Have a guys golf trip for 4 days out in Utah or AZ in the winter time!

Question for everyone. I am looking at cleaning out my garage and I want to figure out the best to store my golf bag, shoes and boxes of golf balls. I have my wife's bag and my daughters small bag. I thought about building something or buying something to put together. But I would like it off the ground and on the wall if I could. Any thoughts or if you all have done something cool, please share a picture of it, if you don't mind! Thanks!

All of our golf bags are inside in a closet. Too much money in my bag to risk someone grabbing it out of my garage. Plus my garage is more of an extending living room to my house and has been decluttered of things.
If I were to store golf bags in my garage i would have the bags hooked up to a pulley type system that would suspend the clubs on the ceiling. It would also be cool though to get one of those bag stands they have in front of the club house at courses and mount to the wall in the garage.

We live in a quiet neighborhood and we have cameras everywhere. 1 in the garage. 1 as a flood light over the two garage doors and 1 as a Ring Door bell camera on the front door. So I am covered if anything happens. But we always keep our garage doors closed anyways but I totally understand what you are saying.

I will take a look and see if there is an inexpensive option to what you talked about above. I have been looking at those but people want some serious $$ for them.

I have a few ideas what I want to do if I want to build something..but would much rather buy something metal and just install it. I have too many projects to tackle this spring and summer. Want it done quickly.

I had one of these dual bag stands for a while when I had an apartment, it was perfect for the apartment. Once I shifted everything to a proper garage though I found the stand took up more space than I really wanted it to. So I did the whole garage in slatwall and then got some hooks to hang the bags from, some wire shelves for shoes, and some plastic bins for balls / tees. Shaved maybe another half a foot of space to open up plus got them higher off the ground + lets me shuffle organization around as needed (in your case depending on where you live maybe you shuffle your garage around seasonally for frequent use items or something).

I ended up getting this from Amazon. It's only 15" deep and will fit perfectly on the wall in the garage.

https://www.amazon.com/WALMANN-Organ...1zcF9hdGY&th=1

Should be delivered tomorrow and hopefully installed this weekend. I just wanted to get my bag off the ground and make the garage look a little more tidy.

Week 3 of my companies golf league is tomorrow! Can't wait!

I watched Scottie Scheffler on Grant Horvats YouTube channel yesterday. Scottie seems like a real down to earth guy! I have a lot of respect for him. Looks like they filmed it a week before the Bryon Nelson (this past weekend) tourney where Scottie went off and won by a landslide!

I have my first tee time of this season on Thursday but I tweaked my lower back doing squats at the gym today. Worst case if im playing in pain i can blame my bad shots on my back (im still going to blame my driver if i dont hit it very far though). Best case I can get all stretched out and feeling better before the tee time.

I have really focused on mobility workouts (hips and hamstrings are the triggers for my back issues) but got unlucky today. Bad timing but we will see what happens.

At least the weather here in MN is absolutely perfect!

Damn! Sorry to hear that! Lower back issues are no joke! I had tweaked my lower back in high school. I was dunking a ball and a guy was below me and landed awkwardly and messed up my lower back...this was towards the end of the season and I was a pitcher for baseball and I had to do nothing for about a month so I could pitch pain free.

You will be surprised at how much you use your lower back..it's crazy!

Make sure to ice and heat. I have a hand held STEM product that I put on any muscles or joints that I need help with and it does amazing work!

Hope you are able to play! Take some Tylenol and keep icy hot on it! You will be good! lol

Week 3 of my company golf league last night.

Played pretty well to be honest. I was able to use my new 4H and it worked beautifully! I honestly think it saved me about 3-4 strokes last night. Looking forward to continue to play with it and dial it in!

Driver was good last night, not great but gave me the opportunity to have good 2nd approach shots to the green.

Now, I need more confidence in my wedges and I feel my game would be at a decent spot!

Good luck and let us know how they feel. I have never heard of Newton Motion. Are they any good / what are they known for?
