My car finally updated from in transit to at the port in Baltimore! Hopefully processing and dealership delivery go fast!

My dealer was in Annapolis and the car is now showing "At the dealership".

Now I just have to call and make sure the M performance spoiler gets installed and I can pick it up on my next day off after vacation! (This Friday hopefully)

M240i scheduled for production, 28/02 found out today that it has been bumped to 25/05. Must be a significant issue…

yeah it really makes you wonder.. i don't feel like i've seen a lot of posts about peoples car finishing production recently... i know there's a few of us who had cars that started production in early FEB, that never completed.. i imagine our cars lined up in a row... just sitting there waiting for something

Just got an update in email for BMW Genius.. my car is now scheduled to be produced March 10th

Same here. Original est. production date was Feb. 16th, then it switched to Feb. 24th, now it says March 10th.

I'd like to think when they reschedule these production dates.. they have some indication that they're feasible... and not just randomly moving a few weeks hoping things get better.

in my line of work I can't just move dates, and if i do.. there had to be a reason, and justification of why the new dates make sense

Finally the journey of waiting for my car is coming to an end! She made it to the dealership this morning and I'm scheduled to pick her up tomorrow afternoon! Can't wait to get behind the wheel. 7 total months from order accepted to delivered.

No, but I never expected that it would be this long for them to get one. The order ahead of mine has a production week, but apparently southwest Michigan only sells X cars and allocations are scarce. I should have ordered through my dealer back in MA.

Don't feel too bad. I'm a top performing CA at a bmw dealership in Alabama. I placed my order back in November and we still haven't got a allocation slot yet

Not like I can go somewhere else without it being a conflict of interest at my job.

I can tell you all when I looked on my locator today there was a total of 132 allocations in priority 3 (unsold) in all of North America .

FYI.. my car updated today... "entering assembly line" it entered production on Feb 3rd... according to the genius.. my car is scheduled to be produced March 10th

Any way you can cancel the order or transfer it to a different model you’re more likely to get? I’d have given up waiting for one by now personally. Fingers crossed you get a slot soon!!!!

This makes me thrilled that my dealer had an allocation. Tbh I’ve only ever bought off the lot from them so I didn’t know about allocations ahead of time. When he told me they had one because they are an M dealer I thought he was just blowing smoke for a sale, but now I’ve seen that I’m pretty lucky.

Anyone know if there's a difference in delays between the 230i and 240i? Or is it the same? I just placed my order on 3/5 $1000 deposit for a 230i M-sport. Online says "Scheduled for production". Socal dealer told me expect 3-4 months.

Not sure if there’s much difference after browsing through here. Similar delays across both models it’s looked like. I placed my order for an m240 Feb 20th with an allocation, scheduled production week was 9 (last week), that still hasn’t changed but it also still hasn’t started production. My dealer also told me 3-4 months.

You can call the genius hotline 1(844) 443-6487 with your production number and they should at least be able to give you your build week.
