This is an interesting report from two weeks ago about BMW, stating that they see no need to negotiate a special deal to get an extension exemption from the tariffs. They seem pretty confident, with the presence of their factory here, and the relationships they have with U.S. officials. Porsche, Audi and VW don’t have factories here.

So looks like another month exemption. Can anyone confirm if g87 qualifies? None of this matters for people like me who were planning to order the car in a month or two since the tariffs matter when the car is in transit out of the factory, right?

This is so. So. So. Annoying.

As a supplemental comment, it's surprising how bitter everyone in this thread seems?

Lets wake up and smell the roses a bit folks, we're all very blessed if we have a spare 70-90k to buy a luxury sports car?

Totally agree. M2 in Thailand is $200,000 because of the import tax.

Additionally, everyone is clearly in a pretty good spot in their life if they can spend almost US$100,000 on a vehicle for fun, so I don't really understand why we all have so much to complain about. If these tariffs hit, and we can no longer get our cars at the original price, we can get something else that's already been produced within the states...

I understand the sentiment of you waited a long time, and once it's finally here, the tariff hits. But, we need to think from a more macro perspective, that these really aren't the things we should be focusing on.

Preordered my TP back in August last year and finally finished being assembled last week. I’ve been in ready for transport for a week. Called genius today and they said it’s sitting at the port waiting assignment onto a vessel. Where’s a container ship when you need one!
