My 240 is still in port at Southampton, it’s supposed to be shipped to the dealer this week but I’m not getting my hopes up

Call the Genius line and ask them if your car has a stop sale issued. You have to ask the Genius, they will not tell you, you have to ask. I called them again today and was told my car was being worked on as of the 23rd, I just don't believe this. They are very sketchy with their answers. I also get conflicting information at times. There are a few M2's with this same stop sale. There is a small thread in the G87 section. |

I've been waiting in Final Assembly since 6/1. Supposedly, it's at the port waiting for transport but I'll beleive it when I see some movement on that tracker or get an update from my SA. The wait is horrid. I initially estimated that I'd get it end of July/August time frame but it didn't keep me from looking at the status almost every day of the week since I got my production number, lol.

Also I’m in New York I’ve been trying to track the expected arrivals. Website only shows NY port up to July 10th with not a single vehicle carrier expected. At least not one that my car is on. On the other hand, if the grand ruby has my car, it would go up the east coast, and probably wouldn’t make it by July 10th but closer to the end of the month. |

FWIW my dealer said that the average time to get to them across all models was 11 days from ship offload. Of course it may be different for each dealer.

Congrats to those of you that picked up your cars! @Nate48 your vehicle looks amazing. Love that Brooklyn Gray w/black
First timer ordering---BMW 230i XDrive. Dealer in NJ told me I'd have the car in 3 months, but that's not what I'm reading on the forum. Can you also explain "allocation". Is it better to order through a large dealership or not. Appreciate your insight as I'm about to venture in the ordering process. |

Larger dealers tend to get more allocations, but there are also more customers at those dealers. The two largest dealers here in Minnesota had waiting lists to get an allocation and they hadn't received an allocation in a few months. Make sure to ask your dealer if they have an allocation available, and if so, if there are people on the waitlist. In my experience dealers tend to withhold that info to potential customers.
