I remember one guy back in the day that did a full M3 mechanical conversion (driveline, suspension, brakes, all the misc bits) on his 325i, but left the body mostly stock except for the 332i badging. Then he added a couple of turbos and went trolling for Lambos.

I'm 2500 miles from California, but somehow I see dozens of California plates every week. Not sure why. (never seen New York plates and they are only a short drive away)
