I watched "A League of Their Own" last night with my In-Laws.
Great movie that has aged very well. R.

I think the franchise is messed up beyond repair though. You cant have classic Indy, then do a film with Aliens, then try to do it back like the originals. Fast and Furious cannot be about street racing anymore, you cannot go back from Space.

I saw the trailer too a long time ago. Was trying to think of what horror movie series you're referring to. Off the top of my head nothing comes to mind.

It was like a more watchable Human Centipede.

Two older movies to recommend, as I went through the movie collection when my In-Laws were here:
"A League of their Own"-- Tom Hanks, Geena Davis, et. al. A comedy about women's baseball in the '40's when many of the ball players ended up in Europe fighting during WWII. It's a hoot-- one of Tom Hanks better offerings. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0104694/ "Men of Honor"-- Robert De Nero, Cuba Gooding Jr., et. al. A "based on a true story" movie about Carl Brashear-- the first black Navy Diver, as well as the first to get reinstated in the Navy after a horrific accident. Yes, you can see it coming from a hundred miles away, but still an enjoyable movie. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0203019/

Wifey and I watched "The Courier" with Benedict Cumberbatch - it was very good and of course based on a true story/events.

Watched The Batman.
Overall a good film, a much more realistic take than the previous realistic take of the Nolan trilogy. About the only unrealistic things are the hybrid jet/V10?12? engine and the Bane serum. Gripes: the car chase was pointless except for when he used the jet to get through it all, but it was like Batman baited him into a street race. Batman didn't even capture the villain, the villain let himself get caught.
