Yep no surprise there. Interest rates are skyrocketing high, insurance premiums are up, petrol is up... any LTV over 50% starts to become quite expensive given rates on car loans are fixed unless you refinance, where they get you with early payout fees.

Trying to sell my 330i and am getting very little genuine interest which is quite telling.. had no issues selling my previous car 18 months ago.

Still don’t get why the delay for the early buyers. There are even a few on the site I mentioned above with manual and CF buckets so wtf lol

these arent actually in stock - they are orders dealers have that havent arrived but also arent sold - some of these become dealer demos for example. I work with BMW heavily, and id bet if you called all these dealers they likely are either sold, still on the way, or going to be used as demonstrators.

Feeds into your point RE delay for early buyers. Most of these would have been built by BMW australia and sent to dealers, they wouldnt be dealer allocations - i could be wrong but ive seen this before.

this is definately happening also on quite a few cars arriving into australia recently as they were ordered when rates were lower but feeling the pain now that the cars are arriving. we probably have 6 months of it left i think, then the market should be more balanced

Finally! Today was the day I took delivery of my M2! Feels like forever ago I locked the spec (December 8th lol). Toronto Red, carbon experience, manual. Loving the manual, have driven the auto and for me I know I made the right call, this is a strict weekender! The carbon buckets are epic! Love it!
Also loving that flow designs front plate bracket, was able to get a nice low position!

Only m perf parts so far are the mirror caps !

I can imagine how delighted you must be to finally have the car with you. 11 days from Melbourne is not too shabby. Hopefully, the same applies to mine when it arrives. We’ll see. Currently, my car, along with others on here, is on a ship that seems to be doing laps of the Mediterranean!!!!! Absolutely frustrating as you would know. Anyhow, enjoy yours.

Can anyone please share what dealers are quoting drive-away? The RRP for my M240 was $118k but picked it up for $104k and considering the upgrade.

Thank you! Must be super frustrating watching that boat! The last 6 weeks I’ve just been watching the marine traffic app every day, got quite invested in marine logistics lol

Frustration got the better of me today. As previously mentioned, the ship supposedly carrying my car, along with others on here, Grande Texas, has been doing laps of the Mediterranean for weeks now! Then, it’s updated destination, as of yesterday, was Baltimore!!!!!! Anyhow, shot an email off to the dealer this morning. Low and behold, the car has jumped ship to the Grande Torino and is now heading out of the Red Sea directly to Melbourne. According to the dealer, Torino is scheduled to arrive Sept 13. Let’s just hope the ship makes it past the pirates notorious in that area.😂

Obviously not mine but it does look great in white, Lex. Particularly without the plate on the front. 👍

That’s unfortunate timing, Alpine! What ship is your car on?
