Yep, mine did this for like 3 weeks. They have to pay for port storage so they don’t move them to the port till they know when a boat will be ready for it shortly after. Genius will be able to tell you when it’s actually in transit to the port.

My SA sent me a screen shot a few weeks back of my status and had a stop sale listed on it. I asked if that was what was holding it up in the Final Assembly status and he advised that no, the recall issue would be addressed when it arrived at the USA port. Not sure if that's true or not but maybe that's the reason it has been at the port for an extended time?

I was talking to my sales rep today. The Grand Ruby should be in NYC on 7/19. He said car should be in my hands before the end of the month.

My allocation was delayed yet again... This time to September since all production quotas are for the xDrive variant.
Been waiting for an allocation since February, and getting the car to EU from Mexico, well all can I say, I doubt I'll see it this year... |

I am sorry to hear these bad news. Since you're from EU, how did you find out your allocation was delayed?

I contacted the salesperson where I ordered the car. Last month they said they might get RWD allocation in July, but it seems it was for xDrive and the next will, hopefully, be in September. Nothing definite.

Finally picked it up! It was ready for pick up in June 16 but by then I was on my way to a previously planned trip to Europe. Arrived Wednesday night and picked it up Thursday first thing on the morning.
Had a 100 miles trip home, being on the break in period never toke it over 3000rpm, now I see the limit is 4500rpm Anyhow got it to 120mph effortlessly I can imagine how fast it will be taking it to redline. Loving the Msport seats, it’s indeed (as some have reported) more insulated, it is more than my F30 330i Msport, not having adaptive dampers made it have a much harsher ride. Which is kinda confusing as this supposed to be a sportier car, even in sport mode it’s still softer. Have a F56 Cooper S that has a harder ride than the F30 I thought sport mode would lean it that way. HK is great, have read some complaints but I realized that using android auto o CarPlay kinda mutes the sound, using the onboard Spotify app gives a much louder and better quality sound. Overall I’m very happy with it. Quote:

I was expecting to take delivery of mine next week, until they decided to update the expected delivery week to WEEK 36 just days before the supposed delivery date?? Final assembly was on 5/22 and on 7/13 it was ready for transport to port of departure?? Absolutely fuming right now. That's my plans of taking it on a trip to Italy in a couple of weeks out of the window...

I think there are many makes on that ship so it's moved around to multiple docks in Baltimore unloading a little here and there. The only guarantee is that they are not 'early' on their estimates |

I hope the shipping delays clear up soon… Mine is a 2024 to be produced first week of August… was told to expect delivery still in September… looks more like October considering the delays quoted here.

Status just changed to "Ready for Transport".
Do you need to call Genius to determine which vessel you're on then look up the schedule from there to determine ETA? |

Yes, but they probably won't tell you which vessel your car is on until it's physically on it.
